When they move your seat

I play a lot of satillites, and as most know, u should come to these with a certain strategy in mind. Now, when you get to the end, 5-10 left, position becomes a huge factor. Usually the blinds are quite large at this point and if u r one of people the trying to squeek in, it always feels good after u get through the blinds. So, when they suddenly yanked me from my table and plopped me right back into the blinds after just getting through them, I relized I never knew how they determine who goes where when they break up tables. Any help?

It does suck when it happens your way.I am watching this blog. i want to find out to.
I don't know for sure, but I am told that Full Tilt makes an attempt to balance out the average chip stack at the tables.
I'm not sure how true this is because it seems that I often get seated at a table with the two or three biggest stacks left in the tourny. But, that is what I have been told happens.
I also hate it when you get through the blinds and get seated at a table just in time to go through them again. But, I guess it averages out how many times I have been reseated 4, 5, 6 times in the larger tournaments without having to post a single blind.
I got curious and asked Full Tilt about how the seating is done. This is the answer that they sent me....
At the start of a tournament, all seating is random.
When table balancing occurs when there are an uneven number of players at a table.
As players are eliminated from multi-table tournaments, tables are balanced and
broken to keep the number of players at each table at a constant eight or nine.
When this occurs, each player is assigned a seat, and their relative positions to
the blinds are assigned. A player in late position will be assigned to a table that
has a late position seat open in order to maintain the same relative position.
Occasionally, a table will break during a tournament. When a table breaks, the players
will be assigned random seating.
The seat chosen for each player is randomly selected. This may result in a player
being moved closer to or further from the blinds. Much like poker tournaments in
brick-and-mortar casinos, we do our best to ensure fairness. Since the seat selection
is random, a player may sometimes be moved to a superior or inferior position.
Hope that helps.
