OMGWTF

Similar to last night's terrible beat, I do not have hand history.

So I get dealt 10s in SB, everyone folds to button who raises about 4x BB. I figure he's trying to steal, so I reraise all in for about 1000 more. Button calls almost instantly, and I am shocked when he flips over just AJ. Still, it's race time. Flop comes 9102. Bingo! Turn...Q. River...8. ***** that. He needs runner runner Q8 or QK to win, and he hits. Check last nights 'If EVER There Was A Rigged Hand' Blog, and you'll see why I am so pissed.

Or 87, sorry

Oh, and he raised to 210...so 1000 more is considerably more.

AND Another. 10cent Rebuy. Donk goes all in very hand. I pick up A10, figure its good enough. I call, he shows K7 off. Flop 985, I figure I'm in good shape. Turn, of course, 6

All your chips in before the flop is ALWAYS BINGO.
buick60 Aug 7, 2008 11:48 pm
And I'm not pointing fingers cause I do it too.But only at certain times.

Blah Blah Why were you so confident in 10,10? Im not saying that he didnt go overboard but this will happen more times than not if you continue to make bad decisions. So in my opionin this is far from a bad beat

You chose to gamble with 10 10 by going all in preflop and you lost your gamble. How can anybody be surprised when they lose a gamble?

If you just call the raise and bet out after the flop you might take this pot down. No turning back when the chips are all in pre flop and most that play on line will call or push pre with any ace as I write this a guy just pushed all in with A4 to my raise of 4X the blinds but my KK held up. They are donks but they see so often that any ace is good. Slow down and see some flops you dont have to gamble at poker all the time. gl

sure it seems like a drag but have seen way, way worse and have seen them happen consecutively for many tourneys on end. If you're not used to it yet,.. get ready cuz it happens ALOT. Starts to get easier to take it in time I find,.. best thing for me to do is to try to have zero expectations as the cards come rolling off the deck and to continually remind myself I got my chips in with the best (if indeed I did,.. sounds like all your chips were in preflop here anyways,... last nite I had 4-4 beat my AA with board hitting 2 hearts on flop, then comes runner runner heart for the 4-high flush win,.. happens,...it's just part of the game).

Maybe a 'stop n' go'.. if you knew you were going to put all your chips in the pot, call the raise and when the flop comes, just shove all the rest in as you're first to act from the blinds and could give you a better chance of winning for a couple of reasons,... your flop bet could take it down or if called, maybe your hand will actually hold up.
