#1 Why did you chose your Railbird.com screen name/ what does it mean?
I tried to register Icemanando but the system would not let me so I put some x’s in and it worked…so the x’s stayed.
As for the name its just a combo of Iceman and Anderson my last name.
I get Iceman from friends and it was my blonde hair and really fair skin that helped…I’m really a nice person but cross me and I will take you down….LOL

#2 How many hours each day/week spent playing poker on?
I spend about 2 hours a day min Monday to Friday…it helps that I a stay at home dad but the baby is starting to give up the daytime sleep so 2 hours is starting to get shorter.
I do play on weekends when I have the time and I play regular home game every 2 weeks with 7 to 8 players. It lasts about 5 hours at a time.
I also play in a free league here in Oz called the Australian Poker League APL when I can.
So I do play a lot. Some weeks it could be as high as 30 hours.

#3 How would you define your style of play?
Loose very loose.
If you believe that you should ask for game some time so I can show you.

#4 Poker Achievements?
I have managed to stay married through my addiction LOL
I have finished in some high placings in Live tourney’s run through the APL that Have buy ins and big prizes and Big fields.
For a ticket to the ***** cup at Crown casino in Melbourne I finished 4th of 234 and played for just over 9 hours.
For a ticket to the APL’s Tournament of Champions last year I finished 3rd in a field of 648.
In the same tourney this year I finished 22nd out of 180.
And I have built a bankroll from nothing on all the sites I play to have cash on each one.

#5 How did you get involved with poker? Where did you pick it up? I first started to play when in year 11 (I think you would call it High school in the US) I played 5 card draw back then. But I stopped playing when I finished year 12.
I then started playing again, when I could find someone to play, after watching Moneymaker win on ESPN, and after Joe Hachem won the APL started and I talked some mates into coming with me to try it out….we are all still playing.
The APL was my intro into Tournament No limit Hold’em I finished in 7 hands my first night LOL, so I went book shopping the following day found 2 by Hellmuth the other by Nike Sexton, I then played again the next week and finished 8th out of 183 people…..I was hooked on tournaments from then on.

#6 Which pro would you like to face in a HU match and why?
This is a hard question to answer I have many I would like to play for different reasons.
Doyle….who wouldn’t want that. It would be better than playing god himself.
Hellmuth because I’d love to tell him his book got me started and look at the monster it created when I kicked his butt.
Mike “the Mouth” Matasow….he makes me laugh.
Tom McEvoy because I think his books are fantastic, and they have helped me no end.
Tom Dawn “Durrr”…watched him play online a couple of times and I think I could take him. I really don’t see that some of these internet kids are that much better than the rest of us.
Sam Farha because he’s so bloody cool.
Ferguson and Sidel…they are freaks and I think that in a good way.

#7 how have you improved your game?
Read,
Played,
Read some more.
Watched and read.
Played.
Learned to understand some people will call because they just have no bloody idea what they are doing. Patience.
#8 Do you have any nick names on the felt? Just plain old ICE….I do get a few expletives thrown at me from time to time but I leave that up to your imagination.

#9 What goals do you have as a poker player in the next 6 month’s?
Next week will do. I’m going to Crown in Melbourne to try and Satellite my way into the Victorian poker Champs main event. I will have 2 days and my wife’s permission to do so LOL.
After that I will try to make the any event at the Aussie Millions in 2009.

#10 What would you consider a weakness in your game/ something you need to improve?
I can be to passive sometimes and over aggressive other times….still a learning process.

#11 What would you say is the best online or live game you are skilled at ?

Hold’em No limit.

#12 What are some typical "TELLS" that a online player is bluffing ?
I think it’s not so much one tell it’s a combination of play, betting, position and stack size. You need to be watching everything.

#13 How Has Railbirds.com helped your game play?
I started playing the freerolls to help build a bankroll and from that I have been able to step up and play real money online.
I also read as many blogs on strategies that I find or end up in A55A55IN’s blog.
And I had the privilege of meeting The Wall when he was a member; he helped me understand parts of my game I couldn’t see.

#14 Best Moment in a trny ?
When I ended up on a table with a mate who lives around the corner from me and he was way short stacked and I was chip leader…we were playing to win one of 50 tickets trough to a second round……he rang me in like 3 seconds and screamed help!......he got his ticket…..I dint need the chips I already won my ticket the day before, I still got one …..the big wide world of online poker and we ended up sitting next to each other for 2 hours LMAO. It’s the only time I have ever been on the same table as any of my mates I play in my home game. My wife kept yelling out to bust him (she was just joking) and he kept panicking every second hand….I couldn’t stop laughing.

#15 Most recent trny win?
The last tourney I won was a Freeroll to the second stage Poker After Dark on FT I think it was a 360.net game.
I recently took my Brother in law to an APL game to play his first live poker tournament we went head up and he won….man was he a card rack that night. LOL.
And I came 3rd on last Monday night in the pokeroo open my pkt 10’s ran into Aces then a couple of hands later my pkt 7’s ran into AK. He got his K on the flop and that was that.

Last tourney I won would have been a sit and go on FT 9 starters
