NEW ONLINE WITHDRAWAL METHOD

Jul 23, 2008 9:22 pm Report Abuse

I had an idea and I wanted to run it by you guys to see what you think. I think if the online poker sites are having trouble with withdrawal request, they could offer a Mastercard or Visa debit card that would be connect directly to your online account. If you have money in your account, you have access to it 24/7. No need to withdraw and wait for a paper check, or for it to post back to your original form of deposit. Please give me some feed back before I compose a email to these two sites. X

great great idea

I think that would be a good idea. I've never withdrawn because it is such a pain. I hope you have some success with that idea.

Would be cool... I have no probelm with my current echeck system tho. I would immaine such cards would have a hefty service fee to use, and be potentialy shunned by US banks etc.
foolnjected Jul 23, 2008 9:41 pm

that would be great.

good idea chic!

great idea stars recently added the moneygram cash pick up option after the echeck fiasco and full tilt has recently followed suit. now on pokerstars or full tilt nbsp; you can request a cashout via the cash pick up option and have your money in hand with 12 to 24 hrs. for pokerstars it is a $500 minimum to cash out using the cash pick up option(moneygram) and you will have your money in hand within 12 hrs from the time you request the cashout. and for full tilt it is a $250 minimum to cash out and you will have your money in hand within 12 to 24 hrs from the time you request the cashout. these two newly added cashout options is by far the best way to cashout rather than request a paper check and the best news is there is no fee for cashing out using this service.

having several ways to cah out is always good and the more the better. and i do think your idea is great

Pokerstars tried out a card last year and it was a big flop. Didn't work out as they planned.

As far as Ftp, I am not sure if they did or not.

How do you see them making money on this? Maybe a % or transaction cost, but then would we use it?
oddhand Jul 23, 2008 10:10 pm

PayPal does this now. They have a debit card Mastercard that if you use it as a Debit card they charge you a $2 fee and if you use it as a credit card they charge the merchant a fee and you get 1% back.

I love it and use mine all the time. I think it would be great if PS or FTP could or would do this.

Great idea XPOKERCHIC.

Poker Stars puts it directly into my savings account (Wells Fargo) in the USA
Solid_Snake1982 Jul 23, 2008 10:23 pm
I like the idea of being able to get my money right away. The site doesnt need to make any money off your withdrawal also I find that a site that needs to try and make money at every turn just runs a bad business.
barry201 Jul 23, 2008 10:27 pm
Great idea, but then they would have to give you your money...

I don't think FullTilt would like that
SeniorMarcos Jul 23, 2008 10:34 pm
yeah i would like this option to withdraw . good idea
Spozzy Dog Jul 23, 2008 10:37 pm

Withdrawal???? Heard ppl using this term but don't know what it means.

Use the Deposit function quite a lot though

cozman Jul 23, 2008 10:40 pm

One issue is there poker sites are not banks or companys that want to do this. If its a pain to take money off there site theres a reason for it. THAT IS THEY DONT WANT YOU TO EVER TAKE ANYMONEY OFF THE SITE. They rather you give it them in rake it may take some time for thr 50/ 00 or whatever you depoisted to be raked but that what they want

PDWORTHY Jul 23, 2008 10:48 pm

i'm with spozzy on this one.........lol

ButtonDog Jul 23, 2008 10:50 pm
I think it's a great idea and if you could make deposits at an atm machine into the account using it it would even be greater.
LaylaD Jul 23, 2008 10:57 pm
Sounds resonable, but I think it would cost them too much to set up! Give it a try hon!!
tripps747 Jul 23, 2008 10:58 pm
umm remembr epassport linkd up with the poker sites u order the credit cards and worked great till they went banked rupt its been done b4 but good try.......
gcrafty Jul 23, 2008 11:04 pm

SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO EVER BE TRUE, JUST MY THOUGHTS.

GOOD IDEA THOUGH, IT CANT HURT TO TRY.

dollarbill45 Jul 23, 2008 11:14 pm
Yeah pokerstars offered a visa card called tru pay or something like that. I got an email that it was being discontinued. It's a good idea. I'm not sure why it did not work out on pokerstars.
