i had a few players say that to me as well xD
Believe it or not, you are of the small minority in that thinking. That being, if you can afford to rebuy as many times as you can because your poor inexcusable play cost you all your chips time and again, you think it's fine.
I avoid the multiple rebuys myself. For some strange reason a good number of idiots think the idea is to be the one who has the most rebuys. One of the few multi- rebuys I sat in, one player had no less than 30 rebuys. 30!!!! No lie. When I asked if he had played poker before, he replied with something like it's rebuy and he should be playing like that. That same tourney, I survived and made it to ITM without a single rebuy or add on.I also swore off playing another. It was worse than playing a donkfest freeroll, due to the fact I paid to play ($3.30) and refused to be chased off by idiots. It was also amazing how fast the number of seats fell after the buyin period ended and yes, the mule mentioned above never made a cent.
Suggesting kansasgirl is stupid for walking away and leaving her chips behind is nothing less than an arrogant insult btw. Why should she sit there and waste her time playing against a few donkazzes who have no respect for... a) the game and b) the rest of the table ?
A suggestion to the Prorails, maybe limit these rebuys to 1 rebuy and 1 add on.It may help keep respectability of the game and respect for the true poker players in it and prevent these ugly types abuse to a minimum.
Read some rebuy blogs by the professional players.
I love the $1.00 rebuys on Full Tilt and will finish at the final tables more often than not.
For a $1.00 rebuy I look at them as $5.00 buy-ins. For the $3.00 rebuys I look at as $15.00 buy-ins.
I will call other all-ins with marginal hands during the rebuy period. I figure when 4 players are all in that I will join them with a 7 8, suited or not. My goal in a rebuy is to have 16,000 chips by the end of the rebuy period. I don't get there by playing like a mad man, however I don't get there by playing passive either. Once you make it to 5 or 6 K in chips getting the other 10 K isn't all that hard. Go back to the tight play after first break. You're just about 30 minutes from the antes and those antes are going to eat into the shorter stacks of those that never took advantage of the rebuy and add-on fast.
Remember in a typical rebuy there will be 3 or 4 times the number of rebuys than there are players entering the tournament and all of that rebuy and add-on money becomes a part of the prize fund.
