SNG FUN! - How would you play this on the bubble?

Jul 20, 2008 1:39 am Report Abuse

Well I'm exercising my SNG muscles lately and I ran into this interesting scenario on the bubble of an sng.

I've been playing pretty tight and have had the goods whenever I've bet. Actually, the only person to call me down so far was knocked out of the tourney.

So here is the hand. How would you play it to extract the most value?

this is quite player-dependant but i think i like your line here. i'm not sure what Ace would limp OTB 4-handed, but this is a $1 SNG and idiots are entirely unpredictable. he could very well have an Ace and may be calling you down no matter what. i like the big bets, micro-players tend to call light a lot.

you played this hand fine, it just seems like the kind of hand that is totally working for you...each card after the flop has helped your hand in a very disguised way, so betting big to maybe sell the bluff idea should work out pretty nicely...he wont put u on 23 wen the 5 comes up, then after ur big turn bet, probly wont put u on the flush wen THAT hits, so keep betting big to look like a steal...all in all, such a nice hand for u, did he call ur river bet?
