You played it right if u thought u were beat imo! Always follow ur gut whether it turns out to be right or not!!!!
freak39 Jul 19, 2008 5:02 am

yes because i didnt lose any chips

Smiley_Chicky Jul 19, 2008 5:07 am

From my point of view, it was a good fold.

A raise, a call, reraise, then push by the original raiser, I would have them on much better hands than AK, at the very least TT or greater for the shorter stack and a higher PP for the larger stack to get involved in this hand.

Rowan has reraised for half his stack, so you can guess that hes not folding this. freak has you covered, but a fold leaves you with plenty of chips and the 500 call didnt affect you.

If my math is right, there is approx 3500 chips in the pot before freak pushed in. Even for you to make that call would have been pushing the limit unless you had a really good read on these players.

All in all, a good fold in my opinion, and a sign of a solid player.

It seems AK was over played in this situation, no different than what you see everyday online.

GL on and off the felt...

I would have called
freak39 Jul 19, 2008 5:12 am

alright from my actual point of view.

Basically i didnt have you on that strong of a hand. If i knew you had QQ i would of pushed. I had RK on something like JJ or QQ and I had you on AQ or AJ making my push the technically right thing to do. I also knew if i didnt win the coinflip vs RK i had still a decent amount of chips to work with. Really 100 you could do no wrong here. A call or a fold could be the right play.

vagsin Jul 19, 2008 5:15 am
the other ppl played the hand wrong
larry1dart Jul 19, 2008 5:24 am
I think you should have raised after the first raiser. You acted weak by calling and that gave freak the ability to price you out of the hand. Your actual fold at the time was right IMO because you left yourself a decent stack, and who wants to call with QQ for all your chips? What was your read on these two anyway? GL!!
100_dolla_billz Jul 19, 2008 5:25 am
im not gonna tell u my read lol, then theyll see
choro_layo Jul 19, 2008 5:25 am

hohoho

you got afraid of a pair of eights with an QQ??

not even a high card that the Q on the flop??

and you ask if you play bad that hand?

sy but i really really i dont understand.

gl xD.

cracker29 Jul 19, 2008 5:27 am
i would say good fold, the only thing you could have done differently was raise and not call the original raise, id have done the same thing.
Baseball_Tim Jul 19, 2008 5:29 am
just curious why u r set mining with QQ? the way u played the hand, u made the right laydown but i think u should have raised the original limper and then the hand would play out exactly the same except its a 3 way all-in.... this is a super standard hand where the hands and stacks played themselves... as played u played it right but ur losing value out of ur hand by limping behind but thats just my opinion....
freak39 Jul 19, 2008 5:29 am
alright first of all if you looked all the action was preflop. If you ask me NO ONE PLAYED THE HAND POORLY!!!!
100_dolla_billz Jul 19, 2008 5:37 am
choro what r u talking about please read the blog b4 u make a smart ass remark that is wrong, it was all preflop
KevGuy Jul 19, 2008 6:02 am
hmmmm, correct me if im wrong, but quite frankly it seems like everytime ya got Js or Qs, it seems like somebody will have an overpair (only on fulltilt though). I prolly would have folded as well. It sucks when ya feel you have to give up those hands though.
dragonlake Jul 19, 2008 7:05 am
Well not that I'm the brightest bulb in the chandelere but I think I would have re-raised the 500 to 2000.That hardly cripples you at this point and still leaves you room to get out of the hand. Now it appears that they might have pushed or at least called both having AK bit they would have been over playing their hands/stacks to do it.Personally I never endanger that much of my stack with AK.I WILL push it isolated against smaller stacks eg.2000 vs 6000 but not 9500 or 5000 against 6000 as in this case. With a 2000 raise they would have to put you on a good PP 10's -A's and thought twice about pushing.I can't see either player doing more than a call of 2000 here to see the flop which of course after the flop you would have been good to go from there. On the other hand you didn't lose many chips by folding and lived to a better hand with a good chip stack.I just hate wasteing pocket Q's at ANY time as I don't see them often lol I really think they both overplayed AK here though especially preflop..............DL
