Lower Buy-in SnG entree fees on FTP

Jul 19, 2008 12:58 am Report Abuse

Why is it that to enter a Dollar sit and go on FTP you pay 25 cents for an entry fee. But for the 100 dollar SnGs it only costs 9 dollars. 25% for one 9% for the other I know its only a quarter...but if they made the 100 dollar SnGs have a 25 dollar entry fee people would find this to be ridiculous. Everyone should email full tilt and complain... hahaha

well 2 bucks is also .25 lol it sjus there minimum fee

it cant be min fee, because the .10 rebuy is $0+.10 which means the .10 is the tourney fee.

I actually find the $9 for the $100 tourney to be much more ridiculous than the 25 cents for $1 tourneys. The whole rake concept is kind of ridiculous but it's the standard. If you think about it though it doesn't cost a site anymore to run a big dollar game (or minimally more at best) so the rake should be far less percentage wise for big dollar tourneys. As it is the $9 fee at the $100 tourney is probably subsidizing the smaller dollar tourneys.

the more money you have, the less % of rake the site takes, doesnt make much sense but thats how it works...

like playing .10 / .25 NLHE max rake is 3$...
i was watching 200/400 with durrr and present and all them... max rake is still 3$ lol... pots are like 50k and they're shagging 49997$ kinda funny

just how it goes.

most brick and mortar casinos have a standard percentage for an entry fee

i think all the rake for tournaments should be about 10 percent.. 1.00 + .10.. 100+9 is fine.. the 24+2 are find.. but u are right.. the low stakes sngs are a little too high as far as rake goes
Timm33 Jul 19, 2008 3:03 am
The 90 person sngs aernt as bad...1.25 to win a possible 20 or so

but the 9 persons are 1.25 to win a top prize of 4.50 : 260% ROI

9 ply SnG for the $109 tourney pays out $450 for first : 312% ROI

3rd place is 1.80, which means it gives you an ROI of 44% you made your money back plus 44%

3rd place on a 100+9 SnG is 180 which gives you an ROI of 65.14%, your money back, plus 65.14% profit

These number are SUBSTANTIALLY different.. at a best ROI being 260% and a worst being as low as 44% it would be really tough to consistently make money at these
