after reading the first blog, your read on the player, and this information, I'm still too much of a scaredy cat to make the call. Remembering what I've seen of ya play, you probably made the hero call and opp turned over 9-5 for a busted draw right?

All you can beat here is a bluff and a reraise will look fishy here. If you had an overpair or a six why would you wait to bet it. FOLD.

I would have never made it this far

Thanks whiz, but that's not my question.

I'm guessing you raised or called and won due to your "amazing" read....

This hand should have been folded preflop, but given your opponents hand selection I would have been ok w/ re-raising. Folding on the turn would have ended the hand for me, but I definitely fold on the river. After all, what are you beating?

What probably happened here is that you called because you put him on crap and you win this pot. However, this is horrible misplayed hand from begining to the end and continuing to do this will not result in profit.

To answer the question - hands like this, coming in vacuum without knowing history of the table are pretty much useless. If this is my first hand and I don't know anything I would fold. I would also

1. Fold or reraise preflop, would never call

2. Check-reraise or check-fold on flop, would never check-call

3. If I somehow saw turn card I would check-fold

So, there is no scenario in which I would be here

I would go all in because this smells of a busted draw to me. It's alot easier to play this game with someone elses money lol.

Thanks Krafty, I play about 20 hours to 28 hours a week right now, and hourly at the ring tables I make about $13 an hour. May not be a killing but it's not losing. So in the long run I must be doing something right.
This blog isn't to show that I'm great or play perfect it's about following reads. I'm sorry, but checking the flop then betting on the 4 of clubs makes no sense.

well if you made the call on the turn to see the river. You are far behind. Any bet you place,if called will beat you. So if you think ace high is good enough to win push, But I recommend a fold after a loose call on the turn. Daniel J aka kaydensblinds
