Hmm if its midnight madness, Good payout I might have folded depending on my bankroll. He most likeyly did Not have a 4. If you called him you would have been up against Aces or Kings. Or maybe he bluffed with Ak. I would have Risked it.

His initial bet preflop was just calling the big blind until he was raised another 175. This makes me think that he may have had pocket fours and was just wanting to see the flop and fold if they missed him.

I believe that it was a good fold.

I would have reraised preflop

At least you have an idea then if anyone is holding decent cards
Even a min might have pushed him out

I meant to say pocket fours or pocket sevens.

its a tough decision i guess it would all depend on how he was playin all game, was he playin tight or loose

I re-raise pre-flop. You got a limper plus other players in so you don't want them to come in cheap. Define his range pre-flop. Post-flop you fired a probe bet into the pre-flop raiser and the other guy raised all-in. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a semi-bluff and was trying to get you to lay down an overpair. From his point of view you look like a player with TT-QQ. He had some fold equity if you were on this kind of hand so a semi-bluff was a profitable play.

I'd call and not be surprised of he shows AJs. I don't think he'd 5 bet you with a boat. He would hope you'd call with a draw and milk more out of you on the turn i'd of thought.

yes the boys right,y lost control by not reraising preflop. the allinmove looks to me like flushdraw wit overcards. after y preflopmistake its right to lay down that hand
