I was playing a FTP freeroll lst night and 2 players talked on chat about raising and folding so another player could make the money, and then they did. I sent an email to FTP about this issue and a copy of the chat so they could see and investigate. Here is the answer to my email.
Thank you for your collusion report.
We appreciate diligent players like you who report unethical play on our site.
We take collusion very seriously and investigate every report of collusion concerning our real money games. To ensure the integrity and security of our site, we must focus all of our investigative resources on our real money games. Unfortunately, we are unable to investigate concerns regarding collusion at play money tables.
Thank you again, and if you have any questions, please feel free to let us know.

So apparently if you want to cheat or hone your cheating at full tilt just do it at the play tables or in a freeroll. I guess also explains why they don't seem to care about chat infractions either. I do expect to get banned from FTP after I sent them a reply that said "So anyone can cheat in a freeroll, good to know" And let's face it there are some pretty big freerolls out there.
***I do NOT condone cheating in poker or in life. Try it and chances are you will get caught and suffer the consequences. I just couldn't believe FTP's response.

Yes JB but if a person gets away with it at the freeroll level why wouldn't they continue doing it at the real money tables

Do you not think FTP knows this? Of course they do. They are waiting for them to get onto a real money table. It's a classic set up.
You get reported, a mark goes on your account, you cheat on real money table, get busted. It's only a matter of time.
BTW, FTP play chips are worth nothing in terms of real dollars.
PS, it's a bit different.
I sent in some chat to Poker Stars of some guy doing that and even admitting it in chat and they sent me the same reply , it's play money to them even when real money is at stake , so they don't track it , it's pretty lame
On one side, it is play money. So chasing after all the complaints that can come off the play tables could be endless and they might not have the staff to really dedicate to that....and let's face it....real money is how they make their money so if I have a player on a real money table complaining about collusion verses a play money player.....I am going with the real money complaint.
But on the same note, like you said, what is going to stop people from "practicing" their collusion techniques on a play money table and then moving it over to the real money tables once they have perfected it....
So if I was a Poker Site I would do what Coolvettes said and put an "alert' or something on that account so it could be tracked in the future. Which, they might do that but they are not going to tell you that if you think about....
Which is why you receive one of those generic emails. But in any case...YOU have the ability to make notes on the player so put you a note on him and next time you see him and it is on a real table....nail him
