Won real money with my FTP play chips

Jul 8, 2008 5:11 am Report Abuse

I know some people have asked about getting real money for your play chips on Full Tilt Poker. Tonight I entered that tournament that gave real money as a prize. The cost of entering it was 500,000 play chips. I got 9th place and received $2.00, which was the prize for 3rd through 18th place. 2nd place paid $3.00 and 1st place paid $5.00.

This is a good tournament with very good play. As you can see there were just 48 players entered, but I went out in 9th place after 2 and a half hours of play. We had 27 players for over a half hour at one point.

It is a good way for those of you that want to start a bank roll to get started. You will find this tournament by clicking play chips, tournaments and scrolling on down. I am not sure if it starts the same time each night or not.

Good luck if you should play it. Every player was polite and friendly.

Well done on that win. Yes, I saw the blog about the chippy tourney and winning money.

Well done and a good way to start a bankroll for many players also.

This tournament should have decent players in it, the donks of the poker world would have a hard time getting, and keeping this many chips !

i would think you could have won more in RB freerolls in the time it takes to get 1/2 mill plaqy chips - i maybe wrong

I used this method before I put $150 on straight up, and I got up to $9 before I lost it all (Do NOT play cash tables with such little money). My recommendation is to play the ferguson if you win the typical $2, since that is 2 entries and it's the easiest to place. Any other tournament has an entry fee which would leave you with money left over.

Yep, I've played that tourney 6 times and won $2.00, 5 out of the 6 times!

It's an AWESOME TOURNEY!

And yes, it is at the same time everyday and that's why I don't get to play it as often as I'd like. Odd time for me.

CONGRATS on your win!

I played that once when I started out there too , I made a ton of

chips in omaha hilo very quickly so I took 500k of them and

entered and cashed , it's a good way to start out if you don't

want to deposit , gl

johnnie2thumbs, it doesn't take very long to get 500,000 play chips really. About two months ago I decided to play more of the play chip tournaments and leave the $1.00 sng's alone for a while. After just a couple of nights I had close to 750,000 of them. I found the 10 and 100K play chip tournaments to be as rewarding in satisfaction as many of the real money tournaments. Playing the 10 K's since I wrote this blog I have earned close to 200 K of them by playing four at a time.

I really don't need these for a bank roll. I just tried one tonight to see what would happen and just passing the information on to those trying to build a bank roll from scratch.

Also to add to this from what I understand on these is the amount that enter them is normally right around that most of the time and is rather easy to make the money.

But congrats on making it to the $$$!!
