Split Personality

Jul 2, 2008 7:48 am Report Abuse

No, this is NOT my report on the latest trip to the Psychiatrist!!!! (But I like that you thought that)

I made the final table in a $2 FL 2-7 triple draw tourney. This can be such a fun game. But damn frustrating at times. You think Razz is a kick in the pants for thinking "backward" to other poker games, then try this some time (there are play money tables on Poker Stars).

Good news: I outlasted the jerk who thought they were God's gift to the game. He even went so far as to insinuate that I should keep notes on him since he was in first place. Well, NEE-NEER-NEE-NEER!!!

Bad news: There were four hands that went badly. Three of those were due to my opponents NOT paying attention to my super tight play and, therefore, calling my only three bluffs. I had spent hours on my tight image so that those bluffs would pay off when I needed them. Oh, well. It happens online (and offline). Thankfully, I was able to stay patient and build back up. The fourth hand was a one-card-nut-draw that never panned out with two callers. Those sort of draws just HAVE to hit with big-stack callers.

Thanks to Astrogini for watching even though she was SUPER busy working on stuff for the site (and she still is....send her a PM telling her hello JUST to bug her....... *whistles innocently* ).

Best of luck on and off the felt!

TWEEEET!!!!

Oh, and don't forget the Clan Spectacular coming June 12th.

Clans, other members, and I have added to the prize pool. Have fun!

Good job! You know if there is one thing I've noticed at the $2 level it's that most people have no idea what table image is. They only care about their own cards and play and aren't noticing how others play. It is nice to outlast the jerks, especially if they ship their chips to you on the way out lol. Best of luck!

Wtg MartyJr..Have to say that I haven't played it yet on pokerstars, but long before I had this computer(1yr)I played the world series of poker on playatation2. One of the games I played alot was 2-7. I loved the challenge of playing for low instead of hi. When I started playing here I felt comfortable playing razz.. Really helped alot. I didn't know that pokerstars had it in play money. Thanks for the info. I will try it first before playing the more experienced players.

Glad you cashed in.

All my best moe
