If you can believe it, the main event of the 2008 WSOP is already here! Jerry Yang and thousands of other professionals and amateurs will battle it out for days to make it to the prestigious main event final table. It will be interesting though to see what happens in the 4 months before the final table is even played! I will be here to provide daily updates of the 2008 main event all the way up to the historic final table.

Michael Mizrachi is trying to join the likes of professionals like Erick Lingren, John Phan, Nenad Medic, and David Singer who won their first bracelet earlier in the series as he enters the final table of the $10,000 PL Omaha World Championship event as the chip leader.

Here are the final table chip counts heading into today:

Michael Mizrachi 1,767,000
Brandon Moran 1,286,000
Kido Pham 1,080,000

Billy Argyros 729,000
Greg Hurst 637,000
Peter Jetten 492,000
Richard Harroch 372,000
Tom Hanlon 192,000

The final table begins at 3pm PDT at the ESPN feature table. We'll be there with hand-by-hand updates.

Something I forgot to add...

Congratulations to J.C. Tran, WPT Season 5 Reno Champion for winning his first WSOP bracelet the other night in the $1,500 NL Hold 'em event! He survived a field of 2718 players to capture the bracelet and over $600,000!
