WSOP: $50k HORSE Final Table

148 people paid the $50,000 to play in this year's big HORSE World Championship event. After four days of play, the field is now down to the final table of eight.

The chip leader is Erick Lindgren who has had an outstanding World Series this year. If he wins his second bracelet today, he will win his second bracelet along with 1.9 million dollars and the Chip Reese Memorial trophy. A win by Erick would also put him way out on top in the player of the year race.

Another man chasing the top of the race is also at the final table. Barry Greenstein will be sitting at the final table with 1,955,000 chips. Barry Greenstein is the only player from last year's final table to make it back. If he can finish higher than Erick, he takes the top spot for player of the year.

Here is a look at the entire final table and chip counts for today's final day of play.

1: Erick Lindgren -- 3,680,000
2: Scotty Nguyen -- 3,535,000
3: Barry Greenstein -- 1,955,000
4: Matt Glantz -- 1,445,000
5: Lyle Berman -- 1,430,000
6: Huck Seed -- 1,200,000
7: Michael DeMichelle -- 905,000
8: Patrick Bueno -- 695,000

The final table begins at 3:00 local time.

Those who did not make this final table will likely be playing in the next big event at the WSOP starting today. The $10,000 world championship of pot limit Omaha begins today and it is sure to attract all of the big names for the last world championship event before the big one, the main event, which is now under one week away from today.

The defending champion of this event is Robert Mizrachi. But the one thing he doesn't want to hear is that not one of the defending world champions from 2007 made the final table of the event. Can he change that in this event?
