I don't think I would have played it any differently.
ksuhart Jun 29, 2008 4:58 pm

Don't know how you could defend your hand any better than that... I can't even begin to imagine what Q2 is thinking here...

My advice, rebuy into the table and milk that cow for all she's worth.... AND look for ImuPE every time you log in.

BangMyFatty Jun 29, 2008 4:58 pm
That guy was a HUGE idiot that got lucky as ever. Keep up the good play.
Markie141 Jun 29, 2008 5:02 pm
Well one pair is one pair but having said the obvious I want to play guys like those 2 every day lol
Markie141 Jun 29, 2008 5:03 pm

Just noticed it's a cash game not a tourney lol ,

even better , add them to your friends list lmaoo , gl

JAG1024 Jun 29, 2008 5:07 pm
You played it RIGHT ! No way to defend against a "Donkey on the river" ..lol
A55A55IN Jun 29, 2008 5:07 pm
He's just one lucky @#$%er.

Just Fool Tilt at work.

After the flop you: 78.85%, KQ: 3.54%, Q2: 15.28%
After the turn you: 71.43%, KQ: 2.38%, Q2:26.19%

You played it right and I don't think anyone could have played it better.

You played it correctly i don't know what that donk was doing in there with q2 suited anyway. You made a positive ev play and lost. I the long run you'll win those hands.
Pike60 Jun 29, 2008 5:17 pm
Shoot the Q2 donk before he pulled in the pot
Krafty3333 Jun 29, 2008 5:46 pm
You, sir, were just fulltilted.
topcat1954 Jun 29, 2008 5:47 pm

Ok, first off, you played this like most people would have, thinking you were protecting your overpair, which is a good thought, but there is a hole in it ! You still put all your money in there with only 1 pair, and we all know that most often it takes 2 pair or better to win a pot in hold 'em.

You're raising is where the problem begins, with so many people in the pot, by the time it got back around to ImuPE, he was getting 3 1/2 to 1 odds to call. Even tho he was way behind, he had outs, and if money isn't an issue with someone, that isn't so hard a call to make.

I am sure you were hoping to isolate it to 1 opponent, but the pot odds were just to big to be ignored, Against 2 random hands he was over 60% favorite, and at worst he was 15% if he thought either of you had an overpair, or another Queen with a bigger kicker. You were 80% favorite when you got your money in, so it wasn't a big mistake for you, he made the mistake and got lucky, but that is the nature of the beast.

I would take the advice of ksuhart, look for that joker the next time you play, there is a lot of money to be made from him, if this is his typical play. Just remember tho, in a multiway pot, the last guy to act is going to call a lot of the time with weak holdings, simply because he is getting such good odds to call, espically if the opponents are all in, and can't cost him more for the rest of the hand.

His raise to $14 basically pot committed him to your reraise, because you didn't have enough fold equity to run him off ! I don't think you made a bad play, but in the future think about the odds the last guy will be getting, and how much he has in already, and consider if you have enough money to run him out of the pot, espically when you are only holding a pair, if a deuce had come on the turn or river, the same result would have happened. Getting it all in with the best, isn't all it is cracked up to be, espically with one pair, and 2 cards to come !

You are doing fine, and will prosper, keep up the good play ! I think I will go run a search on him and see if I can get some of that cash...lol...Later !

.......play on .....Tc........

dragonlake Jun 29, 2008 5:50 pm
Well you played that about like I played KK against YOU the other night!! LOL I lost too.TO your AA!!You wait patiently playing tight hoping to hit this kind of hand!! Usually you have the best of it going in! You did this time as opposed to me against you lol.But if we don't play these hands what WILL we play???And how can we play them differently??
Phingroov Jun 29, 2008 5:58 pm

Here's the advice:

Re-load, get those chips back...should be easy given the poor play. However, if ImuPE wins another like that, assume he can see the deck before it is dealt. If he is the donk he appears to be, just follow him around, and punish him at every table he sits at. There will probably be a waiting list to get his chips, but players like that are why we all play, right?

For the record, watchdog, I just played a Dbl Shootout Satellite to the $750k today on FT...we played 93 hands, and I had a dominant chip lead at my table until heads up. After reviewing the hand history, I discovered that in less than half of the situations did the best hand hold up if the players got all-in. There were 20 all-ins, in 6 the best hand held up. Some quick math showed me that on average, the best hand was a 63% favorite. I know I'm crazy, but I hate losing a chip lead to runner-runner twice in a row, then getting crippled when my JJ loses to 9-6. Starting to not trust FT.

Urge to kill rising....

Sandman-Michael Jun 29, 2008 5:59 pm

That's hard, niether of those players should have see the flop with those cards and the bets out there.

Also, I try not to be in for all my money on anything less than 2 pair but I find myself there anyway. Easy to say, hard to do.

bigpoppaboats Jun 29, 2008 7:33 pm

Don't play no limit on fulltilt......see this crap way to often. Otherwise it's all been said before.

Tough hand bud

Peace, J

bebewins Jun 29, 2008 7:40 pm

In my opinion you played it right.. both others flopped top pair on the board, one happened to get lucky with runner runner spades.. can't do nothing about that.. SUCKS THOUGH!!!!

alphamale5 Jun 29, 2008 7:49 pm
It seems some people have more money than brains,an it has all been said.I would have played that hand sometimes shit happens gl
kidflopadelic Jun 29, 2008 7:53 pm

I advise commiting the name ImuPe to memory and run to his table to play from now on, I sure would

better luck next time

tomfmason Jun 29, 2008 8:20 pm
first off Q2 shouldn't have ever been in that pot but where he made his biggest mistake was in calling your $21.25 over the top all in raise. Sure he was getting nearly 4:1 on his money at this point but he still had a -$5.64 ev. So, imho, 4:1 with a -ev like that it isn't even worth a second thought.
