#1 Why did you chose your Railbird.com screen name/ what does it mean?

Most everyone I know calls me MommaTina, the kids who used to work for me started it, and it stuck, figured it would be easy for everyone that knows me to find me.


#2 How many hours each day/week spent playing poker on?

Wow, I spend alot of time playing poker, I would say at least 20 hours a week....its an obsession, what can I say.

#3 How would you define your style of play?

Aggressive, tight, but there are times when I seem to totally lose my mind and play like the donkey I am at heart.


#4 Poker Achievements?

most of the biggies have been live, but have won several big tournies on line.

#5 How did you get involved with poker? Where did you pick it up?

I have been playing poker, mostly 5 card, since I was a kid, my dad played and taught me. I got started playing online poker a few years ago when I was hit by a drunk driver, and was stuck at home for quite sometime. I never really took it seriously, though, until 6 or 7 months ago.

#6 Which pro would you like to face in a HU match and why?

Annie Duke, my poker hero!! She plays a killer game, and has done alot to promote the sport while still being a great mother.

#7 how have you improved your game ?

My game has improved drastically since I started slowing down, being patient, tighting up my play, and taking each win seriously. All the advice and tips I get from RailBirds helps alot.

#8 Do you have any nick names on the felt ?

If I do, they probably arent telling me about them...lol


#9 What goals do you have as a poker player in the next 6 month's ?

I would like to work to continue to improve my game, learn how to play my position more as well as my cards. I am hoping to improve enough to feel comfortable in a big money tournament......and win the darn thing of course!!

#10 What would you consider a weakness in your game/ something you need to improve?

Impatience!! Its still easy for me to play marginal hands when I get bored sitting here waiting on some decent cards to fall.

#12 What are some typical "TELLS" that a online player is bluffing ?

Being too quick to raise or reraise...its like they are trying to intimidate you into folding.


#13 How Has Railbirds.com helped your game play?

Wow, since I found Railbirds, I have started taking my game seriously, and all the tips, hints and strategy blogs out there are just chock full of information for the novice player. Railbirds has also given me a chance to develop many friendships, which makes playing even more fun and enjoyable.

#14 Best Moment in a trny ?

When I am heads up, with such a small chip stack that my opponent starts to feel all warm and fuzzy because they think they have it in the bag, and I come back and win the whole thing....that's a rush.

#15 Most recent trny win?

Have had several real good placings this last week, but my last win was the Railers Open a couple weeks ago.
