Early position A2-A9 is muckable right there unless you're short-handed. Later position I may come in for a raise or muck depending on the action, but I hate limping with weak aces.

me too... usually only limp if suited, late position and few hands in pot... even then i dont even like too...

i realized today that all the studying i do, i dont have a solid strategy for this hand yet... i have been dealt Ax at least 50% of my hands today, and may have missed oppurtunities that could have profitted me greatly if i developed a consistant strategy for these hands, not just limp and hope... lol

i only feel real comfortable with it if its suited
Tilt_Poker Jun 16, 2008 1:34 am

"if its suited" lol i dont know the exact percentages but i know the majority u will NOT catch that flush.... "but its suited" is a synonem for "donkey"

A2 - A5 in late position I limb. A6 - A9 fold A10 - AA raise 3X to eliminate callers and narrow the field and fold on the flop it they miss. Depending on the flop I may stay in with AA.

Unless on the small blind, without a raiser, or on the big blind without a raiser, they are junk and need to be pitched ! You will just get into trouble with them, your only hope is to flop 2 pair or better with them, and even then you may actually be behind !

..................muck 'em........Tc...........

Well i wouldnt exactly call Doyle Brunson a donkey lmao

I'll play any Ax and Kx. Depending on the texture of the table Ill limp from early or if mid-late and first in ill make a standard raise.

If theres a lot of limping ill limp along. It works best when you make the flush in a multiway pot.

limping with those right every railbird tourney ive played in u guys girls get ace rag u usually raise with them be honest u know u do.. ace king etc ill play too the flop on a limp or min raise ace 2 - 9 i will fold unless im bb and no raisers. heck i folded a k of hearts tonight to a all in b4 me i wouldve won the hand oh well please be honest ive seen how most u all play ace whatever...... but TC is right most of the time u get in trouble with them........
JamAndScram Jun 16, 2008 2:42 am

lol to be honest, i almost NEVER play these two which is why i asked...

so dont presume to know everything, but thanx for the... what ever it was you call that^^

Call the flop if it's not more than 2x the big blind, and if you hit something playable stick around if not and it costs to stay around, dump it. But it depends on how many at the table and how everyone is playing.
Hemi-Sport Jun 16, 2008 3:54 am
Put em where they belong, in the trash.!!
Sandman-Michael Jun 16, 2008 4:00 am
Oooppps, sorry, I thought you meant suited, I dump them if there not, unless I'm in big or small blinds. After the flop, if an A hits I might stick around if it's cheap to do so or it you get aces up, otherwise, stay away from them.
el_chico_diablo Jun 16, 2008 3:40 pm
I misunderstood also. I thought we were talking Ax suited here. Muck em if not suited, easy.
