In the past we were forced to stop bounty blogs and contest blogs as members were trying to change their status level here on site. After discussing it with all administrators and prorails, we have decided to allow ALL contest blogs again.
Please check out the guidelines for the contest blogs in the FAQ.
Below are the guidelines we have established.
1. When posting a contest blog, please set the deadline for one week from the date the blog was posted. That should give sufficient time to get entries in.
2. When posting a contest blog, once the contest has ended, please either delete the blog or contact a prorail to have the blog locked. This way there is no confusion to members that the contest has ended.
3. All Monetary value contests are to be paid as soon as the contest ends.
4. Should a person fail to keep up his or her end of a monetary value contest, the member will not be allowed to post a contest again.
5. You run and enter contests at your own risk. Railbirds is not responsible for any non compliance of the contests or actions of those involved. Railbirds doesn't help with scammers in any way, so please govern yourself accordingly.
6. When posting contest blogs, members must not be required to post comments in the comment section of the blog. If members choose not to post their entry on the blog itself, they will be allowed to enter via pm.

Question:
Regarding rule # 6.... as an example... The "Caption This" blogs... does this mean that the entrants would not be allowed to post their captions to the blog?
I trhink the key word is "required" and it's interpretation.
Good luck on the tables!
You are correct.
#6 means even if someone doesnt want to post on the blog, they can send their entry via pm and will be ok
When I joined my bankroll was started by winning a contest by one of the

When I could afford it I did the same several times.....It was truly one of the reasons I became a proud member............wtg...........
