5th out of 312, still not happy.

Hi Everyone,

I played in a $2.25 SNG on Full Tilt and placed fifth. I'm still kind of bummed because the last two hands before I went out I folded a hand I could've been ahead in which took two thirds of my stack and then I went all in against the big stack with a suited ace, five handed, and the blinds were 20 percent of my stack. The problem I have is there were two shorter stacks, one with like one blind left. I should of just folded at least until the shortest stack had blinded out. I did well and I took a $2.25 buyin into over $45, but It still irks me that I flushed at least 12 to 25 dollars away. The only real place I would of been satisfied with was first but the extra money is the smart thing to do.

Anyone ever leave a decent sized tournament feeling like that? It took me four hours to get there and two hands to blow it. You can't go back and say.. REDO! I know I will be in that spot again soon. I guess I just have to take it as experience and use it for next time. If any of you have any stories like this and would like to share them, it sure would help. Thanks again my peoples. :P

we always feel like that. even if we make the final table or make $1000 we all think we coulda somehow done better to win the tourney... if i didnt lay that down i coulda had a monster stack... or if i layed that down i could have made up 4positions.... it always hapens unless u take first u will always think that in some way. but all in all WTG!

it definitly happens and like you said, take it for a learning experience and win the next one, profit is profit, its when it goes backwords that we worry, congrats on the final table

Tomorrow, or the next day, you will be happy with 5th ! The more times you tell the story, the more satisfied you will be with it, in a month, it was a great finish !

......play on .......Tc..........

getting into the money is always a great feeling... once there your mind is on trying to get as far as possible... we all fold hands that would have won the pot... and waiting for a sitter or someone on low chips to bust out makes you think twice about playing good hands to move up in prize money... but you have to try and play your own game even if you bust out... well done on your win... monsters rock...
