I have had to return home to Australia far too early. Due to family committments I had to say goodbye to Canada and Mimi 2 weeks early. Both Mimi and me are heartbroken this happened, but Family comes first.
I shall be posting a couple of other blogs about my visit to Canada as I have mega photos to share. In the meantime I am sort of offline as Adelaide and family taking a lot of time at the moment.
huggggggs to all my Canadian mates I met there and also the mates I was in touch with so much.
I have to edit this blog now. As many knew already on a previous blog... My sister is very ill, having her stomach removed last May because of stomach cancer. In early May this year I did a mercy flight up to Brisbane when she got peritonitis due to a bowel rupture. She was in intensive care for about 10 days and she came out of her stupor and sleep 2 days before my departure from Brisbane. Our final hug and kisses were heart breaking to both of us as she knew I had booked and paid for my trip for 4 weeks to Canada. Both of us felt it could be the last time we would see each other.
But I left. And during my time in Canada.... I fretted. And I probably drove Mimi mad with my worries for my big sister. And at 60, I had a "gut feeling". And at 60 I went with the gut feeling. I am now only a 4 hour flight from Joan and not the 38 hours it would take to come back to be with her. I phoned her today and she was saddened I came back but very, very happy also. Go figure... lol We are sisters.
