Read the blogs of DonkeyNationClan over the past few months, and you'll see that many members of the Herd have been doing quite well at playing cards while having a bit of fun, making some profit, plus challenging eachother to improve. The brainchild of our own Missouri Mule, ShowMeJohn, this contest grew from his November '07 blog, Donkey Nation..Top Donkey , into the Top Donkey of the World Con... and became a multifaceted monthly event (New Donkey Contest, Februa... ).
Expanded and managed by the DonkeyKing, Powder2469 , and with ShowMeJohn's continuing support, it is a pleasure and an honor to list this month's champions (although all who made the charts are winners):
The Top Donkey - May - Leader Results are manx3legs as the "Momma Mia" top donkey ...
... manx ("Hal" to some of us) is an incredible member of DonkeyNation and an inspiration to all Railbirds - he sets examples of a great outlook on life, fair play, and fantastic humor whenever he hits the tables or is here at RB.com - well done!
Also of "Note" were the finishes of Sweets_aka_Sun (2nd place) amd mip_sabres (3rd place). Sweets' result is quite extraordinary as she missed the end of the month due to her adventure in Ecuador (Well I'm Back.....). Both deserve a round of applause for a very nice showing.
The Top Donkey - May - Leader Results are Ronbo69 as the "Poor Daddy" top donkey ...
... Ronnie ("Ronbo" to many) is - in the eyes of those who have been watching his progress - a donkey "on the move," a Herd member who has re-discovered his game and the joy of playing, which has led to some excellent wins and a consistent presence in the top-tier of tournament finishers. This trophy may only be the first of many - Nice job, Ronnie!
Of "Note" in this competition were the 2nd-place slot going to Powder2469 while bobcat claimed 3rd-place. That Powder finds any time to play at all - with his many, many duties and responsibilities to DonkeyNation - is amazing, and bobcat, who has been a past-winner in all catagories, is most likely playing cash-games or not posting all of his winnings ("thanks" for allowing the rest of us a chance, Bob!).
With all the nice wins, money won, tournaments conquered (see the Private Tournaments results), and glory gathered by so many in the DonkeyNation family this past month (Way To Go!!), the decision on choosing this plaque's recipient could have been very difficult - it actually was - but one donkey demonstrated clearly what being a Herd member means, and showed the way for all Railbirds to enjoy both the games (WALK FOR BREAST CANCER RESU...) and this site (This is the way........ ). DonkeyNation's "Card SharK" for May is manx3legs.
May was a terrific month (and will be long remembered as one of DonkeyNation's finest); could June be better? Let's see what happens - post your results here: Best Damn Donkey Contest-June.
