Online vs. Live

Jun 5, 2008 2:17 am Report Abuse

I find myself playing a lot better live than I do online. I feel that I play a more instinctual game, without mathematics. Even though I very much into the math, when it comes to game play, I often ignore it all together because I am too distracted from everything else. I think that if I keep playing freerolls online, then I can practice math over and over without risking any money.

I have won more money live than I ever will online. I cant tell shit if ur bluffing or not online. I usualy have an idea live. Same both ways. I cant bluff to good online where in person, I can lie to the priest keeping a straight face. lol. anway, good luck in both.

I also have had much success live over the years, much more than online ! The strength of my game is my ability to put people on a range of hands, and to read the physical tells of my opponents, and play accordingly, this is lost online, so after a brief time playing online last year, I very seldom do play online except for an occasional Railbirds tournament, and that is just because I like so many people here !

interesting. I think i play better online because Im not as scared to bet, raise or call. Mainly because I can play within my bankroll online, where I have to risk a whole stack to sit down live. The min table we have is 2/3 and you an take between $50 and $200. Given Ive only got a BR now of $800, id be risking 25% just to sit and play.

Last time I played live I had KK which I took to the river, the guy made a big bet on the river after I had been making the play throught the hand and I was going to toss because it was such a dangerous board. Online I would have said, what can I beat....not much. But then he said "its OK, I'll show". This changed my mind because I saw Negraneau say the same thing to Antonia on HSP when he was bluffing. I called and he showed the str8!

Having said that, I much prefer to play live and probably go tonight!
