#1 Why did you chose your Railbird.com screen name/ what does it mean?
Glenn is my first name. Fish is a nickname from playing baseball.

#2 How would you define your style of play?
Patient agressive

#3 Poker Achievements?
Won a full tilt point entry into a $100 entry tourney. 1st out of 600 for $3,147

#4 what brought you to join railbirds in the first place, and what keeps u here ?
Shells19 and Katchagirl invited me. Since then the great people and friends I've made keep me coming back.

#5 Which pro would you like to face in a HU match and why?
Doyle. Gotta respect the legend.

#6 how have you improved your game...was it by lots of practice, was it by books you have read and if so, which books, was it by playing live ?? I keep a dry erase board beside my desk. I make notes and work on one aspect of my game at a time till I feel I've got it locked.

#7 Who are 5 players you look up to on railbirds and why? or Who do you think based on what you've seen or read, would you like to face heads up on railbirds?
I'de like to take the "Quiz Guy" heads up. Lol, I'de confuse him into submission with my "incorrect" play. Katchagirl is a great friend. She's always got an encouraging word and cheers for any RB. Joroco is my voice of calm and reason. Very smart poker player and person. Ronbo69 is my bro. We're always rooting for each other. Steph809 is my favorite transvestite lol (joking!)

#8 How do you play differently in tournaments vs. cash games?
Very little difference except I'm a little more agressive in cash games.

#9 What would you consider a weakness in your game/ something you need to improve?
Consistantly believing. When I'm on, I "just know" I'm going to win from the beginning, and I do very well. When I'm unsure or not confident my play or my cards I am not agressive when I need to be.

#10 What are some typical "TELLS" that a online poker player gives ?
Watch how quick a player checks. If its an inst-check after another player, it often means they have the "check/fold" button clicked. If you can spot this, a minimum bet takes the pot down.

#11 How Has Railbirds.com helped your game play?
The friendly competition pushes me to constantly ask myself where I can improve.

#12 Best Moment in a trny ?
Was even chips with 3 left in a big tourney. I caught JJ and raised pre-flop. Got called. Flop was little cards. I made a big bet, was raised all in. I put my opponent on QQ or KK. I folded a HUGE hand and he showed the Ks. That big fold kept me in and I eventually won it.

#13 Most recent trny win?: (non railbird trny)
Won a Phil Gordon DVD in march on a freeroll.

#14 Who intrduced you to poker?
My Dad when I was 9. We played with chips, no money, just for the fun.

#15 How does your strategy help in Freerolls provided by Railbirds.com?
I think patience is the biggest key. Even with so-so cards I can go deep with patience. I always remember that before HU, I cannot WIN a tourney with one hand, but I sure can LOSE it.

#16 If their wasn't Poker, what would you be doing?
Watching Spongebob.

Nice interview, and while you're right about everyone's favorite crossdresser, steph809 (hiya, Keith!), you obviously have me confused with someone else - probably Ronnie (Ronbo69).

What shows through in this feature is that Glenn is a guy who "gets it," who has a very grounded poker-game that is only going to improve with time (& his continuous study) - one day (soon) he'll be a force at this recreational pastime (hey, nothing wrong with making money while relaxing from the "real-world" job) - it will be a pleasure to witness the growth.

Thanks for sharing this with all the Railbirds. Good luck, keep it fun - play well & profit.
