In the 18 or so months that I have been a member of Railbirds I have read a lot of very interesting and informative blogs. This is an unofficial list of the most interesting things I have learned from reading Blogs, the forum and other Railbird Sources.
#10. I learned that any player who wins a hand using cards they got on either the turn or the river are "Donkeys" "Suck-outs" and "Morons" This came as a total surprise to me because the turn and the river count, I looked it up LOL
#9. I learned that if I player wins by catching a 2 outer on the river, they consider them selves winners, It is only "OTHER PLAYERS" that number 10 applies to LOL
#8. I learned that poker sites like
Full Tilt and
Poker Stars pick some players and help them to win, while keeping others from being able to win. And they do this totally randomly, and in all levels of play, even free rolls and play money games. LOL
#7 I learned that acting like a spoiled little 3 year old, and calling other people names just because you lost a game to them is less pathetic then you would think based entirely on the fact that Phil Helmuth throws childish temper tantrums blaming everyone else no matter how or why he losses. I guess we are grading on a bell curve and as long as some one on T.V. is that pathetic then everyone can act that pathetic. LOL
#6. Railbird and all railbird members SUCK!, Everything about this site is stupid and no one who is a member has ever known how to play poker. I was surprised to learn this , considering every thing this site does for its members, and how much I have learned from our members. But they said it so it must be true.
#5. A system that has been tested by over 50 members over 100's and 100's of games, with all but 3 of them making a profit using it. And earning the other 47+ a combined profit of at least $1000 dollars in just over a week( Based on reports from actual members) Is " THE STUPIDEST BLOG EVER POSTED" "ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT WORK" and my favorite " IS P***Y PLAY" Who would have guessed? lol
#4 I learned that pushing a HUGE pile of chips into a pot even when you have absolutely nothing, and there is no way you could have anything based on the cords showing, say 2c,6h,Jd,8s for example is "A BLUFF" even with 6 players raising since pre flop and 3 of them already all-in.
#3. I learned this from our daily poker quiz's, That even when the odds TOTALLY favor playing a hand one way, You can be "WRONG" based on things like " The odds favor going all-in here but I would rather go with plan B based on ummm just cause" LOL or "Even though most of you would play it this way and win with it more often then not, I think you should go with plan B here so your answer is wrong" LOL Don't be to hard on me here, I am joking ( more or less) and I was having a hard time coming up with one more LOL
#2. I learned that the "WORSE BAD BEATS EVER!" consist of going all-in pre-flop with A-K (which isn't even a pair) AND going all-in pre-flop with pocket 10's-A's AND going all in with a high pocket pair like Js-Jc even with the flop showing . three hearts and two players betting 20x the Big Blind ahead of you, In fact some of "THE WORSE BAD BEATS EVER" where hands that were behind pre-flop and never improved.
And my all time favorite thing I learned here on railbirds is
#1. ON-LINE POKER IS RIGGED! And he had some truly incredible proof that I have to admit was pretty hard to argue with.
He posted hand histories showing how he lost a hand with pocket J's against 3 players who all started betting out when 2 over cards come out on the board.
A hand history showing that he lost with a low, double gut shot straight draw, 2c,5c in the hole 7h,Jd,4h flopped, by not one but both players in the hand with him.
And FINALLY his
ABSOLUTE PROOF ON-LINE POKER (Full Tilt) IS RIGGED! He posted a hand history showing his pocket 3's actually got cracked after he pushed all-in pre-flop with them, Can you believe that? pocket 3's actually cracked. LOL
Seriously how can you argue with proof like that? LOL how can you say anything about it? with a straight face LOL
I hope everyone knows I am just bored and having a little fun, The truth is this is still the best poker forum I have ever found , and informative to, LOL

Ironamn....this is the biggest waste of fckin time blog evr..you could makin $$$$ instead your just here for a waffle!......while i agree with your cynicsim in a lot of cases....Online poker is rigged! lol this wrecks my head tooo! ITS NOT!!! and also the quizmaster is smokin more weed than i am!! ( LOADS) The daily quiz is straight up baloney...any half decent player can seee this for themselves....ur comment about bad beats....i wont go there...there a part of the game.....to all u complainers...DEAL WITH IT!
#5 comment....hahaha...system to win!l LMAO.....i agree with you because i hate it when i see blogs about systems that will help you to win a high percentage of sngs u enter because it is a rediculous notion.....when istarted playing online poker i was a a level above complete donk but now i consider myself an excellent online player....and let me tell you there is no right or wrong of playing this game....TAG all the way for me!!! but TAG is no guranteed winning strategy....
I mightn have mad much sense here or addressed all your facts but i am high and i realise too ironman that as you said this is for fun and i hope to keep it that way.......im only here for the waffle too....why else wud i b here if it is such a waste of time....LOL

#10 - You forgot to mention that said "Donkey" was so far behind on the flop that there was no possible explanation for him to still be in the hand.
#9 - Have to agree with this one. The usual excuse is "I had a good feeling." Like these players have suddenly become fortune tellers.
#8 - It's not just those two sites. All online poker sites do this
#7 - Can't argue with this one as much as I'd like to. I'm guilty of it myself at times.
#6 - I maintain my opinion that it really isn't the Birds that are bad. It is the password thieves that invade our freerolls. However, there will always be people that earn their way to the passwords by ignoring the strategy posts and just writing/commenting on the cheery "How's everyone doing?" type posts.
#5 - The problem with using systems is that you never learn how to actually play poker. You know as well as anyone else that poker is a highly situational game. Trying to boil your play down to the simplest decisions will actually hamper your growth as a player.
#4 - I have no idea what you are saying with this one.
#3 - LMAO. This one is so true. However, it does demonstrate how there is never one "correct" way to play poker.
#2 - Yeah, I've seen this in quite a few blogs. What I find more annoying is that there are very few people here who have any idea what the true definition of a bad beat is.
#1 - Well of course it is rigged and I have the "smoking gun" evidence to prove it. Unfortunately, I can't release this information without the online sites sending ninjas to silence me. :P In all seriousness, I only have one thing to say about this topic: never underestimate the power of greed.
And to add to your list:
#11 - No matter how bad the beat is in your bad beat blog, someone will always be there to explain how you played the hand badly yourself.
#12 - All bad pre-flop calls can be justified by the phrase "but Doyle Brunson won two WSOP MEs with T2!!!"
#13 - You can judge exactly how well or how badly a person played by just knowing what the hole cards were and what the board was like. Stack sizes, table image, blind levels, etc. are all completely irrelevant.

99% of my losing hands are worst beat ever.....and they lose to "a donk that sucked out"......
and when I suffer a bad beat .....of course I will berate the donk.....and whine like a 3 yr old
but of course, ........... if I suckout 2 runners to fill a double gutshot low straight....that's "a great player getting lucky with a bold move"

# 14 - Sites that keep stats on how I perform are wrong, ie Sharkscope, Official Poker Rankings, etc. Their data is obviously wrong and misleading because from my own records (denial kicking in) I am doing so much better than they report!!!!!!!!!!
