9 PERSON SIT-N-GO SYSTEM UPDATE

my ITM's have decreased the last two days but i'm not gonna give up..

just a bad run of cards..

i still believe its a Damn good system...

Add me to the "losers" list. Here's the record thus far (I said I would try 20 $5 SnGs using the method EXACTLY; I have 2 more to go):

2nd; 5th(JJ lost to KK); 2nd; 7th(AAKK lost to KKK); 6th(AK lost to 66); 9th(AKK<QQQ); 2nd; 4th(ante/blinded out); 4th(AAQ<AAK); 4th(99<QQ); 6th(AQQ<555); 5th(AAQ<JJ99); 4th(QQ<888); 4th(JJ<999); 8th(AAK<flush); 3rd; 7th(AQQ<QQ99): and 4th(AT<88).

My problem with this system is that you build yourself a great "tight" image, and then are not able to take advantage of this when the blinds are high, you're in position, and can steal pots. You also rarely see straights and flushes. I threw away a flopped Royal Flush (had ATs with 6 players)!

I applaud all who are making money, but 2 more games to go ... and then I'm back to playing cards and people. Good luck; keep it fun - play well & profit.

as i stated i use the system to a tee as far as not chaseing anything not playing ak till 7 guys in a 9man and only the same starting hands as stated ...

now in multy tables i still use system but i tweak the bets alittle and raises and also tweak the starting hands but still exactly as stated ..

wen i stray from my play i always lose or go out early i posted prolly close to 600$ in tourny shows off of 20$ deposit i still have 300 in acct and cashed out 500$ in last week so it works for me and im in 3 more tournys as we type :-) so gl to all that try ...; the stonedman!!!

i played one this morning and i swear EVERYONE at the tbl was using this same system..

after 53 minutes there was still 8 players left!!!

i went out 8th when my set of Q's got beat by set of K's..

that was the tightest SNG i ever played in my life!!...but it was fun..

ok not all lost i was playing 4 at a time lost them 3 and got this 1 on 4th that was a freeround.

I read the blog for the first time today ~ gave it a shot with play money just to see how it would work for me:

I'm Back for another report! Played two $1 + .25 SnGs.....finished 5th in the first one....cause I didn't play the system to the "T" !

Finished ITM on the second game that went on for over an hour and a half!! Stuck to the system ALL the way and I was down at one point to 120 chips.... but kept playing the way I was supposed to..... Have no idea how I hung on so long..... BUT .....THIS WORKS !!!... I am + $.20 for the two RM SnGs... and won the play money ....so..... gonna keep going.... not much profit yet, but I think it will really pay off.....

I'm done; ended with a 3rd and a 1st. Please note that I followed the rules EXACTLY. Now, I believe many (& probably most) of you are "tweeking" the system as you go along, and that's a good thing - because being a human-robot isn't the way to play poker - the properly placed bluff or well-timed check/raise can do wonders for your play. Also, as mentioned above, straights and flushes can win huge pots and this system doesn't allow for you to limp in with the right cards and correct position.

Best of luck to all who try this. For many it will provide a foundation upon which to build the game that works best for them. I wish to thank Ironman for this system that has brought RB.com back to remembering the greatness of the Wall (& all his deleted blogs - what an incredible & senseless loss for this community) and for everyone reading, experimenting, and commenting on this one aspect of poker, the SnG.
