ARE THESE PLAYERS BOTS?

I think they are not found because they have hide from search feature turned on.
About the play I often wonder with some players, you could be right....

The hide from search feature is why you can't see them , Pokerstars does have a roving bot program that asks players type in certain words so they do already look out for those, I had to do that myself one night when I wasn't chatting lol , anyway I would love to play a bot simply because they are programmed to be very predictable so it would be pretty easy to know where they stand cards wise lol

I was also accused by some guy on FT of being a bot , I wasn't chatting because I was sick and just didn't feel up to it lol , I played tight and only sweet hands , I let him bluff me just to set him up for later and then I cleaned him out and he had to reload ,well he spent the next twenty minutes calling me a bot who robbed him lmaao , I finally typed in good game , the whole table laughed and he got real quiet lol

Just to further break it down...

when i look up the players around me on the "find a player" tab... and once in a while the guys sitting at the table says "player not found!"

It is very easy to make yourself unsearchable. (click options>hide from search)

the player does not chat

Neither do I; I have had chat disabled for two years now. Some of us just don't find enough value in chatting to make up for all the crap that goes on there.

buys in for max

I always buy in for max. One theory is that if you don't buy-in for max you could be losing out on potential profit when you don't have a donk covered. Further, I have noticed that some players who like to make min buy-ins are easily intimidated by much larger stacks.

only plays premium hands

Since you are talking about micro tables, this is just good strategy. The best way to be profitable at the micro level is very tight, very aggressive play.

consistantly folds when i bet pot preflop

Again, in a micro cash game, this is just common sense.

and has extremely predictable patterns

There is a time and a place for mixing up your game; micro cash games is not it. Most players either aren't paying attention or don't know what to watch for or both. For the most part mixing up your game is -EV at that level.

I always buy in for max too , just for that exact reason!

I know a player on PS who reloads after every blind...sitting with $5...loses 0.02 and reloads then loses 0.01 and reloads...doesnt even wait for both blinds to pass. I know I emailed PS asking about all the PiS____ players because there was suddenly and influx of them and PiS is for a Korean (?...I'm going by remembery now...) poker site. They even gave me the address for the site. Other than I don't know Korean it looked like a good site.

I was sitting at a micro table on night when my BF was accused of being a bot. It was the funniest thing. Guy was ranting and raving about it and finally I said..."bbj...he thinks youre a bot" and bbj said back "really? thats wierd I dont have fleas" ...same thing the guy got quiet then left the table.

People just play different poker than you do, no big deal, mark them as tight players and then you know if you run into them again and THEY raise pre it means FOLD NOW!

i am so paraniod since i used play Ultimate all the time on the micros and have seen them in action... and actually read a published blog about them, names and all... lol

sorry if i offended the supertight mouses at PS, i am just so paranoind... i need to stick to live play... lol

LOL @ 2 red aces!!! I've thought a few times that I must be playing a bot, but then I thought....HEY if I was going to write a program capable of playing poker for me....I'd make it a lot smarter than this!!! LOL!!! I guess you never really know who or what you are playing against without some type of chat. Really, though...I can't see that it matters much. Humans are by far the most dangerous "thinkers" because of their flexibility, instinct, perception, and unpredictability.

ez buddy, i NEVER said i couldnt beat the "bot"... lol on the contrary... but poker is a social game, so it dissappoints me to find robotic players, living or not...
