Should I stick to cash live games....

Apr 7, 2008 4:59 am Report Abuse

Let explain my title of my blog question....

The poker I have been playing mostly is some home game tourney... I have been on the bubble like 4 out 6 of last tourneys i have played 1 I scored 3rd. So really I haven't been doing so well and losing money time over time sucks.

So I went to my local casino ( 4 winds) tonight and score a 90 buck profit and walk away happy with my play...

But I did have one pretty good bad beat, lucky it didn't cost me too much...

I limp with 10J suited hears.

Flop is 45 hearts and 10spade. small blind bets 3bucks, and middle calls, and I call. Turn is now J of spades... So I am thinking sweet top two pair and flush draw... both players check, and I bet half the pot... first folds and middle guy calls. River Q of clubs, middle guy just bets 5 bucks, and I just call he turns over AK....
that sucked.

But still I had a good time.

There's no way to really tell if you should stick to something or not. (6 tournies isn't really enough information) but if you continue to dominate the live cash games but get beat up on in the tournies then you can make the decision. Good luck
