I have one thing left as far as me playing poker

Apr 3, 2008 8:32 am Report Abuse

I been playing poker on-line for about 2 to 3 years now, most of it has been on the ' play chip/ freeroll ' games. I was the typical ' donkey/ idiot ' player playing NL games early on. Then I decided to really try to learn how to play better which I know is almost impossible to do on those tables. I did what I could when I could and in the meantime I just tried to learn things on how to play for live and cash games.

In Oct. 07' I had a chance to play in my first ever locally run freeroll LIVE event in which consisted of 12 games once each week. At the end of those trny's I managed to place 2nd over all qualifying for regionals( Jan. 08' ) in which I went out about mid-field of it. I then found out about another of the same type at another location that runs 16 weeks I was 3 weeks behind, I started there with only 13 weeks before it was over. As it stands now I could stand a chance to make regionals a second time. But during these events I started playing side cash buy-in games which also was my first ever to do. After tonights game ( 4-3-08 ) there will be one game left before regionals. But during all these side cash games I have been a part of each week since I started there I only lost my buy-in three(3) times. One night I wasn't able to play the cash games due to I was in the trny longer then I expected. But over all for the majority I played two(2) cash games each night I either took 2nd place gaining my buy-in back or took the win. Over all I am way ahead of the cash to about $200 to $250 for a buy-in of $5 each game.

Earlier today I had a problem getting onto both FTP & PS, I gotten the issue resolved on both sites. I just need to re-do my ' custom ' stuff on FTP which will be easy to do just hate having to re-do it. When I went to check on PS I noticed in the ' cashier ' area there I had $5.16. Now I know this is no big deal but last time I looked there awhile back I only had 16 cents, I had no idea where the $5 came from. I asked a few friends of mine about it, they explained it to me. I had no chance to do anything with it at the time I had to get ready to head off to work so I planned on trying to do something with it after I returned from work.

A short while after I returned from work I jumped onto PS it was still all there, I decided to play a 5 cent/ 10 cent table, I started out hot for awhile then went cold for a short bit. I was going to play like I have in my live games both the trny and cash games( live ). I kept control of my losses and I ended up taking a few hits but controlled it, I lost very few hands I stayed with. I had a comp issue/ problem which took me off-line while I was playing just after I won a hand( thankfully ). I went back to PS to check my cashier amount, from my starting amount of $5.16 I now have $12.11 which was my first ever playing a cash poker game on-line.

So I guess to the best of my thinking about the only thing I think I have left to try out as far as playing poker is playing poker in a casino. I doubt that would be too far off since alot of the players I been learning from and playing with as of late normally play in casinos.

Be ready for the nitemare, because it just has begun for me.
