many people message me on how do I do it. How do I make tables like that. well first of all I have been designing graphics high end for television for 10 years. I do 3d modeling and animation. along with still graphics and some print work. I can show you how I go about making a table. here is my beginning of the experience.
First thing you have to do is go into your folders and understand where fulltilt keeps everything.
this is in your C drive under my computer.

then into the actual fulltilt folder

once in this folder you will find your graphics folder

inside your graphics folder is is a folder called table.

inside your table is a folder called elements... and a folder called backgrounds... and a folder called avatars... to get tables go to elements.
inside that folder you find two files. these are .png files. which basically means they will not have a background. you can save a transparent background. so it can be placed over something else and not cover it up. these two files are your two different tables

copy these two tables and paste them into a new folder where you want to store all your pieces to build off of.
now go back to your table folder. and then into backgrounds.

this is where you find your different folders for teh all teh preset backgrounds you have midnight.... beach... vegas etc etc.
inside there you click on say midnight. this is wher eyour background and your seats are found.

now if you wanna go more indepth go back one step back to your table folder and then go into avatars.

this is where your avatars are found of course ... but also where your player boxes are found.

the trick with the player boxes is you have to make two graphics for each. actually 3. a empty seat one.. a normal one and one for when it hilights.
now if you make the racetrack table. then your background for the racetrack table are in this folder.

hope this helps you find all the pieces. once you have copied all the pieces you want to replace. you go ahead and design your table. your background.. your seats.. and your player box. keep in mind you can make a design but you cant change where they are placed or how they interact with other things. to do this I use adobe photoshop. sometimes i make 3d peices in cinema 4d and once and while for nice line work i use adobe illustrator. here is a real quick example of how i might start.
open your table. take your markee tool and create an oval that matches the oval of the table. do a line stroke of about 10 points. then bevel the stroke... there is a very simple outter part of your table. now on a seperate layer in photoshop fill your markee with a differnet color. and add some noise filter. now you have your felt.

I hope this helps you find the files you need.... then design your new files. name them the same thing as the original files and replace them back into your fulltil folders.. and viola.

This is a pretty killer blog!!! I know that i would probably start trying to do this and my computer would say "Do you want to play a game" and id be responsible for WWIII. But THANK YOU for the insight!!!
Im quite sure no one under say 30 got that joke.
Yes,.. I see,. and very cool didnt know we had that option. Listen could you also put up a few of your back grounds so we can see the finnished products? And would seem to be right that only u would see them unless the other person on the table had the exact same avatars in their boxes. But not sure about your explanations on that. But thanks for the table ideas.
Miss K
Thanks for the detailed explanation. I will be giving this a try in the next few days.
