Going for the Win

So many of you have played our wonderful freerolls.
They are great for several things, sometimes even for poker.

I started playing this game competitively to quickly in my own opinion.

I can relate this to a round of golf I recently played at the Wannamaker Course in PGA village down there in Florida.
Sure, coming from Michigan, It's a treat to play in such a beautiful environ. Especially when it's 87, and home is 28.

A fellow in that round had not been playing long, and also found he needed to be the an Ace on the course.

Without an accurate knowledge of the game, he made poor decisions, and lost every penny with which he had bet.

I have been playing golf longer than poker.. Not by a huge margin though.
During which I have learned that learning is essential to winning.

Sure a good competitive spirit, and attitude helps, but nothing can elevate your game more than the books.

I love our freerolls, because action is more equal to our poker learning goals than other gratis competition.
Sure we can be social birds, and slack on the equations, but were human, mostly, and Fun is Fun.

So don't let off your learning, because when you play on one of the greatest courses in the world, it pays to know what your supposed to do in certain situations. It may even take your whole life to learn, but it's worth it.

Best of luck on the felt.. im out to another adventure.

MVS

How true! Some will ahve natural talent an instinct. But even Mozart had to keep playing to make masterpieces. Thanks for the advice.Being from Wisconsin, I WANT TO FEEL THE WARMTH OF FLORIDA THOUGH, Might thaw my brain for poker

Have a great time on the courses - make those putts - and continue to play great at the tables - make those reads - but most of all ...

... kick out the tunes at night and make that band world-renowned. Enjoy the "Florida swing." Good luck; keep it fun - play well & profit (at all three things).
