in my recent sng session this morning i decided that after the tourney i wanted to check the players at the final table with me out........i won the tourney and started going down the list of the ppl at the final table and everyone of them had a - ROI........so i kept going trying to find one with a positive ROI and no luck, is it really possible to play a tourney with 45 ppl and me be the only one that is a winning card player????

yea, the lower levels are fulllllll of them. i've seen people that have lost thousands over just a couple hundred hands, it's quite amazing and pitiful at the same time.

yes, think of it this way, some guy spent 25 bucks a week in 1.00 sit n go's for a month and only placed in the money say 5 times at 3rd place. then he goes and buys a book, gets better, and starts winning his bankroll back.

Now say for the last 2 weeks he started win those 1.00 and 2.00 sng's and he is at -45 roi so he is starting to get better and places high in a 44 ppl tourny =)

i used to use SS until i became focused on increasing my ROI in every level (you know how you can see the graph of ROI spread across each limit) which just led to frustration with some of the poorer games, so i blocked my name so i would stop looking at it. as for OPR, MTTs have never been my strength, i like 1-table and HU SNGs, so it opened my eyes to how terrible i had been at MTTs.

It makes you feel proud when you can see a positive ROI on both sharscope and officialpokerrankings. My chart on sharkscope really pointed out how well my game has become.

The thundering hoards of new, NL holdem players are mostly in the red.
