Poker Pet Peeve

Mar 20, 2008 11:46 pm Report Abuse

I ahte it when you start a 10 or 9 man sit n go and for the first 4-5 hands there is one person, the same person going all in every hand and steeling 30 ships worth of blinds. Ugh, even though i know the will get knocked out early it just bugs me. What are your peeves?

I love those players,.. they keep offering all their chips to me,.. I just wait and at the right time take it all,.. sometimes ya take a big chunk, and sure enough they go all in next hand too,.. love it,.. Railbirds card: Qh

How about people complaining about weak opposition?

Seriously, I love that guy. Either he'll bust out early, or he'll get lucky and bust someone else out early, either way I have fewer opponents. I would much rather face that guy then find myself against a full table when the blinds are getting really serious.

its just a peeve when my cards are 2 9 unsuited for those four hands!!! so you have no peeves? im not here to hear people complain about mine just wanted to see if anyone else had any peeves

Maybe not so much a pet peeve but what I hate....having a Railbirds card: Ksand Railbirds card: Th. and then Railbirds card: As Railbirds card: Qs Railbirds card: Kd on the flop. having to fold to an all in and then turn and river come Railbirds card: TsRailbirds card: Js

happened to me today...got a nice polaroid of it....grrrr

Kicked my butt all over the house for awhile. Probably should have called.

This is for the "online" poker crowd (which probably includes everyone reading this):

1) In online play, the card(s) you needed on your last hand, will be the card(s) appearing on your next hand.

2) Razz hands will be dealt to you while playing stud, and stud hands will be all you get while playing razz.

3) While playing tight and patiently at NLHE, the times you finally get a great "hand" in the BB will be when everyone else folds to you.

4) Those wannabe "pro"s who scream & whine about having you "dominated" (usually done from the rail).

5) Anyone who behaves online (hiding behind their monitor's skirt), whether it be at poker-sites or here at RB.com, in a manner that makes me "... wish this was live."

6) Just one word - RIGGED!!

That's enough "peevery" / peevishness: good luck; keep it fun -play well & profit.

Very well said joroco.

I am not a fan of the sitters. If you want to just sit back then don't sign up.

Every hand I get beat is a pet peeve of mine LOL. I am like you Rammbone...I hate the ALL IN every hand regardless if it is the first part of the tournament or when they are short stacked and go all in every hand...

I dont mind the players that go all in the 1st 3 or 4 hands. I also dont mind sitters. With some patience both will be gone with no worry to you. What I dont like is when a player combines those two traits. It erks me to see someone sit out until they have 1/3 of their stack left then come in and go all in until they double up twice or lose. Thats one thing that still breaks my rhythm on the tables.
