just sharing my heart

Mar 9, 2008 3:56 am Report Abuse

i am not a poker pro, though ive had my share of winners. i am a nurse who just loves to play poker. lately, my luck has been real bad. but i think im learning all the time.

poker is just my hobby, what i do for fun when im not working, and i happened to meet my best friend on railbirds.

so when i read that someone left railbirds because he was told he wasnt good enough to be in a clan, it kind of made me feel sad. for one thing its not true, the dog pack took in my friend and she never played before. and i know other clans do too.

I feel just the same, hun, and I would be more than proud and happy to have such a member in our clan! And I'm pretty sure most of the other clans, too!

A guy for whom it is more important to be a good player than to be nice, kind, and generous as Villian is I wouldn't want to have as a member.

WE LOVE YOU, BARBIE! YOU ROCK!

Man that is pretty disapointing to read. I didn't think any of the clans on here would have a requirement like that. I'm thankful the Shedevils don't have that stipulation otherwise I'd be clanless at this point.

tell your friend whether hes good or bad if hes having and theres no such thing as bad because improvements come with time.......and if someone told him that then they need to look in the mirror and really evaluate what kind of person they really are

Sapphos hun, this upsets me to hear...

Our Clans and it's members have NOTHING to do with skill... anyone can be in one... we are all here to learn and help eachother learn... tell ur friend to contact me and I'll hook em up !!!

thanks guys, it wasnt my friend, it was just someone that wrote a blog that he was leaving railbirds because he was told he wasnt good enough to be in a clan, and i knew that wasnt true. like i said, i do have a friend that never played poker a day in her life, except for the day i showed her how, and the dogpak took her in anyway. i know we have alot of awesome clans that give beginners a place to call home.

Sapphos I know what you're talking about and said my feelings on the other blog... I think it's wrong to set limits or requirements for things that are suppose to be fun and friendly... I wish more would realize why the clans started in the first place and while we all love to win... winning isn't everything and it's their loss for passing up some of the best people here.

I understand what your saying. We would never turn a member away in the Raptors nest, but we did have a rule that you had to be here about thirty days before we accepted you. We had done that so people could join right before our freerolls, but me and Capt. decided that we weren't being fair and changed our policy. We feel like it was the best desion we could make and have gained some great new players for it.

I am very proud to say I am a DOG!! We are a clan about having fun, learning together and excluding NO ONE! I have been on a pretty bad roll lately but the encouragement I get from my clan is incredible! For anyone that has a clan say you are not good enough to join them, then you just come running to the DOGS cause we want you! We love helping others to learn and grow and there will always be a place for EVERYONE with the DOG PACK !!!!

ME TO IF THE CLANS WERE ALL ABOUT BEING GOOD I WOULD BE KICKED OUT I PLAY SO BAD MOST OF THE TIME.
AceKickerCA Mar 9, 2008 5:50 pm
Hell if being good/great at poker was it took to be in a clan I would on my own. So thank goodness they clans for for having fun, making friends, and support. The clans on Railbirds ROCK.

This is real sad. Whoever did this should be banned from clan membership themselves. I realize that this is extra-curricular as far as the site is concerned, but maybe we as clan members should come up with some sort of guidelines to PREVENT this from happening. Just real sad, and needs to be addressed. My clan accepts "any ol' jack ass"....DUH!!! HEEHAW, HEEHAW!!!

Seriously tho, this is not good for us. not at all...
