different each time, bet and think about what the other player might have or just push preflop and hope they hold.

I know Aces seem to lose nine out of ten times.. what i believe is that you have to push hard before the flop and even harder after the flop, make someojne know you have an overapir, cuz then they wont chase with the big bets, and they wont trip up on you or anything like that...

push hard before the flop, slow playing can kill you, you might not get paid as much but better than losing the hand

I'm not an expert by any means, but slow playing pocket Aces is usually suicide since it doesn't chase out most of the competition. I try to avoid going all in on any hand that isn't the nuts. It's just too risky for my play style unless I have a really good read on a particular player or the blinds ahve become so large they justify all-in. Generally I bet heavily pre-flop with pocket A's (4 to 5 times the BB depending on the donk level at my table) and see what happens with the board. If the board looks good I bet the pot size or better. All in all I try not to commit huge amounts of my chips on a single pair..even a very nice pair. I hope this helps.

AA is 1 pair. the average winning hand in Holdem is 2 pair. Doyle Brunson says with AA you can expect to win a lot of small pots and lose alot of big ones. Not much advice here other than to say that even the Great Tx Dolly knows that Aces arent the end all be all. I agree with the others, bet em hard and hope for folds!! GL

It would be helpful if you posted some real numbers. Here are my numbers for AA in .05/.10 cash tables on Full Tilt. Now, there is a lot of loose play at that limit so you can expect a few bad beats.

63429 hands, AA 271 times, won 87.45%, saw flop on 70.11% and won $266.50

Now I know that amount of hands is not a good sample (way too small) but maybe you're playing your hands wrong.

For me, slow playing aces in today's internet world is like giving a serial killer a weapon and asking him to not hurt you. (Ok..so I have a sick mind - sue me. Laughing at self again.)

There is no ONE correct way to play them. Depends, depends, depends. But I always play AA aggressively preflop, unless an opponent after me has been raising every pot. Then I will probably limp re-raise.

I usually favor 3 - 5 x BB raise. Sometimes as much as 10 x BB if table is full of opponents who just LOVE to call preflop. Obviously we want to isolate the field and play heads up. Two opponets and I start getting more worried.

I do not slow play flopped trip aces, but I will slow play flopped quads.

If four opponents go all in, in front of me it's a no-brainer. I fold.

I hope some of this wordy "wisdom" helps.

Enjoy yourself. Play well.

aces get beat the same way 2-3o win sometimes maybe the random card generator is stuck on aces lose that day or maybe ur just having a little bad luck we all do hang in there
