Survival on stars sng's

Feb 28, 2008 4:54 pm Report Abuse

The $1 sng's are especially brutal events. You are faced with a variety of players and styles. It takes a lot of luck and a little skill to avoid all the land mines in these things. Players going all in with 10 4 suited is not uncommon. This morning I victoriously defeated my foes in one of the most excruciating 45 man SNG's I have ever played It lasted 2 hours and 20 minutes and there were so many rivered 1 outers caught I was sceeered to play a hand in the beginning. If any one has ever played in these you know what I mean. I was dead last with 18 players left and then the winds of change came. No longer were the players raising with 34 suited hitting and I had a few high pockets hold up I soon became chip leader and held it till the end

It's a Miracle lol

I love these low limit SNGs for just this reason...at least half the field is going to go all in with ANYTHING. Frustrating a lot of the time as you'll get sucked out frequently, but over time they're cash cows if you simply play your game and stick to premium hands.

Well done for surviving one of these crazy things and coming out on top!

Nice one...

I love the challenge of those "mine fields" and winning one gives you great satisfaction..yeah you need a bit of good fortune but $1 well spent for the experience and learning curve.

Congrats on your adventurous win!
