I dont know, its something that will always be debated.

My question is...what do they gain by being rigged if they are?

LuvinTim Feb 25, 2008 12:16 am
9 times out of 10 when people start saying a site is rigged, it's because they got beat on too many hands and are upset.
Ironman Feb 25, 2008 12:16 am
NO it is NOT!
texman Feb 25, 2008 12:22 am
no pokerstars aint rigged. Just because a pro cant win there dont mean its rigged. I placed in my last 8 outta 10 on stars thank goodness its not rigged
Jnyce Feb 25, 2008 12:22 am

Honestly we'll never really know unless someone has undisputable evidence which is still yet to be seen I will never actually choose a side on this thought I only trust whats infront of me thats why I love live home games you can see the cards being shuffled evrythings right infront of you and theres no excuses except to blame yourself or a bad beat by a DONKEY hehe

bigrych Feb 25, 2008 12:31 am
most folks say it's rigged when they are losing...then it's not when they are winning....You do the math...
cldbldmurda Feb 25, 2008 12:35 am
Obviously it is rigged its a huge conspiracy that Lee Jones is a part of I have said it b4 and will say it again because its true Lee Jones was the second gunman on the grassy knoll and he helped fake the moon landing
Jnyce Feb 25, 2008 12:39 am
LMFAO couldn't of said it better

of course its not rigged....ppl have been claiming the poker sites are rigged when i belive its b/c they got a bad beat and cant take it.....just a sore loser looking to blame it on the site being rigged...just my opinion
rolinrollins Feb 25, 2008 12:55 am
That's "the big question?"

Then The Big Answer is NO. Ridiculous.

What I do know is that if you find someone who continually bitches about a site being rigged (yet still plays there?!?!), that's someone you want to play against.

Because they are an idiot.
lou733cop Feb 25, 2008 12:55 am
i forgot to add 1 more thing....for anyone who thinks the poker sites are rigged my question to you is why do you keep playing then? if i had any inkling that a poker site was/could be right i would stop playing in a heartbeat....come on man get real....its not rigged period
Kilowatz Feb 25, 2008 1:00 am
The answer is, nobody truly knows if its rigged or not, in my opinion....there are way to many boats beating flushes, lots of rivers...exc... I personally hate Poker Stars, but thats my opinion.
holyroller Feb 25, 2008 1:02 am
i hate tell but all online poker sites can be rigged or people can buy a system to play for them on online increasing there chances of winning at all poker sites there has been some big scandals at two poker sites in last year that were only found after sites pro's lost tourneys and it can be rigged by sites online after they have u become realmoney player online cause they get info on how much your credit limit is on cards and what better way for them to make money on rake real money games is to favor the players who spend big money at there sites cause with rakes and money players with big credit limits to play the site makes more money so u can't say it isn't rigged to certain players
CyberSleuth Feb 25, 2008 1:34 am

Its possible that a small site or 2 could potentially be "rigged". I have not seen any evidence (including Absolute Poker) to indicate the site itself is "rigged". There are a lot of conspiracy theorists on this site who say they are after they lose. Ultimately, if you believe online poker is "rigged", don't play. Players, including Pros, have moments of frustration in which they can't believe the beats they've taken in a succession of hands could possibly be legitimate. Obviously, Garza got over his rant, and took down his blog(I didn't see it).

IMO "rigged" discussions should be banned unless there is specific information/ evidence to warrant the discussion. We don't see blogs from people who crack Aces saying online poker is "rigged". It's when they lose that the game is "rigged". You can't have it both ways.

The idea that the games are "rigged" for action cards to increase the rake has never been substantiated in any way. The bottom line is, there are more losing players than winning players. This gives rise to this discussion because it's difficult for people to look at their own play in a completely honest manner.

I agree people lose get mad and say a site is rigged. If it was rigged they would lose millions so whatsthe benefit
texman Feb 25, 2008 1:50 am
any evidence on absolute poker. Please tell me your joking. The article was in card player and you can google the absolute.net scam
PookieGirl2 Feb 25, 2008 1:57 am
Yes, of course Poker Stars is rigged.

How else do you explain the 2 outer suck out on the river by the guy with $8.34 in his account to knock me out of the $0.10 tournament.

Or the other time when my AA got beaten by 86 off-suit in the RB freeroll.

Clearly PokerStars are making a fortune at my expense. This is why I refuse to play there anymore
texman Feb 25, 2008 2:01 am
simple it was a dime tourney
