A Little Break

Feb 23, 2008 1:48 pm Report Abuse

I have been stuck in a bit of a rut for over two months now. As I have gotten more and more frustrated with it my play has deteroated and I have been rushing from one supposed solution to another like a chicken with his head cut off.

Some stats: after playing well from mid-October through early December, and making money overall in 2007 I have been on a steady downward spiral. I lost money in the last three weeks of December, and in January and Febuary.

I have tried changing tournements formats, changing buy-ins, changing to cash games, and even changing games - none of these has had success for any sustained period.

So my latest idea is to just take a break. I've had the idea before, but not the will power; hopefully this time I can do it. It is my plan to not play poker, watch poker, read about poker, or spend any time at poker websites between now and the end of the month.

So barring a break down, I'll see you all March 1st, and have impoved results to report shortly thereafter.

Cheers mate, a break can make all the diffrence and from the sounds of it youve been playing lots of poker in recent months.

Have some time away from poker and refresh yourself and come back nice and strong on march 1st....cheers mate and good luck on the felt...Beejay
