** Bird Feed # 214 LoCcO_OhNo **

Railbird name: LoCcO_OhNo
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Years Playing Poker: Just finished my first year, Ya I’m a Noob.
Fav. game: I strictly play No Limit Hold’em
Fav hand: Well I sure everyone’s is really AA but I like JKoff, ok ok I joke I joke, J10 is good for busting out large pocket pairs
Fav Poker Site: poker stars is my preferred place to play
PS ID: LoCcO_OhNo
FTP ID: same as stars br />
#1 Why did you chose your Railbird.com screen name/ what does it mean?

Well when I chose the name LoCcO_OhNo it was because people said I was crazy with the way I played, and I thought, that’s just the way I want it to look, so I am Locco?, Ohno, I worked the play on words to fit Yoko Ono’s name I thought it was kind of clever.

#2 How would you define your style of play?

Depends on the table, I like to be a little loose/passive at first, speculating on a few hands, if the table isn’t betting aggressively (so if it’s cheap), then if I can chip up I like to get tight/aggressive.

#3 Poker Achievements?

I think my best is 3rd place finish in a $10 rebuy for a cash of $2519.00, But taking down Quasi Pro to finish 1st in a Railbirds real money rebuy on stars was pretty gratifying too.

#4 what brought you to join railbirds in the first place, and what keeps u here ?

Well when I first started playing I really wasn’t too good a player, I met this guy on a cash table named infiltrator and he told me about railbirds and how it might be a place for me to learn to improve my game. So I checked it out and immediately found tons of help with my game. Railbirds has been a Godsend

#5 Which pro would you like to face in a HU match and why?

I would love to take on the Mouth himself Madman Mike Matusow, So I can look him in the eye (while holding rockets) and ask why he would make that donkey call.

#6 how have you improved your game...was it by lots of practice, was it by books you have read and if so, which books, was it by playing live ??

I have never read a poker book, all my knowledge has been obtained through the site, when I came to Railbirds my roi was a sad -67% and I am proud to say I am on the plus side of that now with a positive roi, I also met a railbird named thegame187 who has taken me under his wing to coin a phrase, he has shown me a lot about the game and has been instrumental in patching up some of the leaks in my game, fist lesson don’t play blackjack at the poker table.

#7 Who are 5 players you look up to on railbirds and why? or Who do you think based on what you've seen or read, would you like to face heads up on railbirds?

I would really like to face thegame187, he is my sensei, also I would like to play richsgirl187 for dojo supremacy LOL, I think Quasipro is a killer and I enjoyed playing and taunting him, I have read a lot of forum posts by CPOner and would like to face him on the felt., and of course Railjoe himself, a chance to trade chips with the uberbird himself

#8 How do you play differently in tournaments vs. cash games?

MTT’s I win Cash games I walk away in a barrel, so I tend to stick to MTT’s, I prefer the marathon rather than the quick thrill of cash tables.

#9 What would you consider a weakness in your game/ something you need to improve?

I tend to get over aggressive when I am steam rolling a table and fall prey to the all in, I am still figuring out pot odds and that kind of thing, I just love he kill to much tend to move in on marginal hands when I am obviously in against a strong hand.

#10 What are some typical "TELLS" that a online poker player gives ?

pattern betting limping on marginal hands, raising on strong hands and all inning monsters, makes it easy to read a player that plays this style.

#11 How Has Railbirds.com helped your game play?

Well with the coaching of thegame187 I have added a very tight element to my game so once I have a stack those chips can be hard to pry from cold dead hand.

#12 Best Moment in a trny ?

3rd place for a $2519.00 score I was owning the table.

#13 Most recent trny win?: (non railbird trny)

Dec29th 2007 that was the $2519.00 win

#14 Who intrduced you to poker ?

I work as a chef and I do an eclusive gig each deer season for a hunting lodge in Huntsville Ontario each year, they play Texas Hold’em at night and I got into it there.

#15 How does your strategy help in Freerolls provided by Railbirds.com?

Well I now have an all out win under my belt, and I credit to thet tight/aggressive play thegame187 has worked on with me.

#16 If their wasn't Poker, what would you be doing?

I don’t know I would probably be playing some kind of real time strategy game

Nice interview Locco. I like the J 10 combo too, especially when its suited. Seem to be a pocket with many possibilities and not all of them so obvious u can't win a nice pot with the right flop.

Keep up the learnin and playin. I'm sure we will meet at a table again.

j-10 is my favorite hand in pot limit holdem seems a bit too loose for me in no limit holdem but if it works for you keep it up. nice interview.
