I though that there is some crazy little devil that runs around giving people REALLY bad beats. Not true. I started playing a lot differently when I believed in myself and my game, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Believing in and having faith in God. Not that i completly didnt before, but it wasnt my main focus. I was only focused on making the bubble. Not totally, but my focus wasnt true. Well all day yesterday i have been winning in top place. And just now, I made the final table, Finished 7th. HOW AWESOME. Plying true to yourself with your strongest game that god gave you and you can do anything. At least I pray anything =). Time for me to try this with the 100K this weekend, and god and I will make it to the top together =). Study hard, and dont forget to bring faith =)

Jerry Yang is a prime example of someone calling on God at a poker table, and he won the WSOP Main Event doing it ! I don't think that it is good practice however, and I am a believer in Christianity. To me it is just not proper, and should be a private matter, praying that is. I don't see anything wrong with a prayer before a game, but there is no need to pray for every hand !
A friend of mine who loves golf, and God went to play with the Pastor and an Evangilist of the church one time. After it was all over I asked him how it went. His reply was that he would never play with them again, as they felt the need to pray over every shot and it just took the fun out of the round of golf for him. He said that he was fine with the prayer at the first tee for a safe and enjoyable round, but he was content for that prayer to last the whole game.
I feel that if you have faith in your prayers, one before the game starts ought to be good enough ! God is not going to change the next card on top of the deck to the one you need, and don't think he infulence others to play the way you want them to.......IMHO...
