S'up fellow Crow's. This is a short blog for those who are going to start playing live cash games or for those who already are. There's something you might need to pay attention to at the casinos when risking your hard earned money against the local pro's and wannbe pro players. It the dreaded auto card shuffler. Pay close attention to how the cards come out while your there betting your hands. Some casinos use a single deck with a "live" dealer, some use two decks with an Auto Shuffler. For the most part the casinos will start play with new decks, and there in sequential order. Ah,Ad,Ac,As..etc. The Dealer will slpread the cards around on the table face up to show that all the cards are there, then proceed to gather them back up and "hand mix ' them face down. With a "single deck" the dealer then will shuffle the cards before dealing them out. Most casinos use a "in the table" auto card shuffler vs then dealer manual hand shuffle. The "in the table" auto shuffler is something you need to pay close attention to. To me......it seems as if the cards dont get shuffled as well as they do by hand. And with "new" decks the cards are STILL in a very close sequence to one another. Even after several hands the cards are alway close to one aother. Follow me? ( KhQh hole cards.......flop Jd,Ks,10d). Dont let this aparent great hand fool you, because the others still in the hand have about the same hand as you do: (Qs,Ac hole cards). This senerio plays out with both decks in a 2 deck table with an auto shuffler. Both decks will have there tendencies so pay close attention to BOTH decks as how the cards are comming out. I hit big in a cash game in Nevada last year because of this. I was delt Js,Jc; flop was Ah,Qd,J,d. Nine players at the table, 7 called preflop. One player bets and 2 reraised before my bet, ( i was at the cut off, just before the button). I called the raises, turn card was a Kc, player raises EVERYBODY called. The river.....Jh, I made my quads. UTG player bets, get reraised, 2 players fold. Now I'm shaking....scared! I suck it up and use my head, look at the board, and remember the previous hands that came out. I reraise. One player folds, the rest call. They were shocked when I showed my hand, Quad J's. So the next time your a the casino, remember to pay attention to how the cards come out of the deck when using the auto shuffler, It may pay off big or save you money on a hand you should have folded. Good Luck Crows.

I believe the auto shuffler is better at mixing up the cards, and as you say, the dealer washes the deck before he puts them in the shuffler at the start of the game, or when a new set up has been delivered to the table .A human dealer typically riffles the cards 3 to 5 times and then cuts them, taking him/ her about 15 seconds, while the auto shuffler works for a full minute mixing them up, if not longer !
..........play on ......Tc............
yah youre just being paranoid fella
I prefer an auto shuffler to a hand shuffled deck. The less human interfacing with the cards before I get them, the more I trust the deck.

P.S. But, a little paranoia is a good thing. Just ask that guy standing behind me sending signals to the player sitting directly across from me!
So proud of you baby!! Great blog too!!
There may be some truth to this,.. last week I was at the casino for 3 days, spent waaaaaaaaaaay more time in the poker room than in the hotel room... anyway,... at the tables, I was seeing a LOT of HI pocket pairs,... and so were my opps, and all at the same time, many hands in a row. I must have had pocket Kings and Aces 20 -30 times, maybe more.... It was weird.
They have the one deck shufflers in the table, ... and the last day I was there I was placed at a "broken" table so the dealer had to hand shuffle. It seemed a lot cleaner, the hands were not repeating themselves much. I prefer live shuffling, but I cant really complain, I won enough money to pay for our room and meals and still walked out with $600 more than I went with.
'Gratz on your quads, I bet you were just about having a heart attack with all those people still in! lol, I would be
