HH#1 What do you expect when you go all in preflop with nothing but a pair of 4's?

HH#2 I don't care much for Jacks all in preflop either although the other guy's call was worse. Better to see the flop cheaper and raise 1/2 to 2/3's pot to get info to his hand then to risk it all preflop. In this case he guy was likely to call with about anything, just happened he had a pocket pair and sucked out. Had you have raised 3xBB preflop the raised he flop as above you'd still be able to get away if needed.

Niether hand warrented an all in preflop raise....honestly ask yourself if you made those moves out of frustration or not. If your answer is "no" then a bit more time studying stategy is you best bet. I'm not trying to offend, only trying to help.

These are hands to learn from, not to get mad about..

the first not a bad beat

second one just bad luck

Its crazy how the cards fall.

This is head's up, so 4/4 is a good hand. I don't think the beat was unlikely enough to be considered a bad beat though. You showed weakness with a limp, so he shoved with an Ace. The play was understandable

That second one qualifies. Ouch.
I played a heads up tournament a few days ago and limped in with 4/4.
He called, with J/J.
The flop was 4/2/8. He shoved, and I called.
Blah blah blah... Jack on the river. Doh!
