Should you show your cards?

Should you show your cards? Yes or No

> >

I just thought it was time for me to ask the question that has been a puzzle to me.

We are all aware of how the card games work but at the end of the game we are ask to show our cards. I have chosen the option not to reveal my hand. So I have to ignore the button that asks me to show my hand or click on No do not show my hand. Sometimes I change my mind and do show my cards only because I feel I have been playing with a group who has not been bluffing all night. Isn’t this a matter of choice and part of how we as players, play the game?

Which brings me back to my original question, should you show your cards at the end of the game?

I sure don't (show), one exception if I bluffed.......

I don't unless I want to loosen up the table or I'm playing heads up and I'm kinda messing with them lol , sometimes if I floppped an insanely good hand I will show them , but usually I make them wonder or else pay to see lol, gl !

this depends on the person
1. u show to put one on tilt
2. u show for a reason and use it later
ive done both, so i believe that its up to the person whether they want to show their cards or not

For me that sort of depends. If im bluffing I sure don't want them to know I was. This could make them call your next bluff. On the other hand if you do show your bluff and your next hand is a winning hand and they call it will keep them confused lol. So I think it just depends on the time.

Never show your cards, maybe once or twice for strategic purposes.

I think it good sometime to show a bluff. Especially when your playing a tight game. You show a bluff, and people are more likely to pay you off later when you got a strong hand.

it depends if im playing heads up i will show a few hands to get the guy tiltin, i show when i get str8 flushes and stuff just cuz its pretty and i do when i want to make a certain table image, also i do it when im playing with friends sometimes in big pots

I'll show if I feel there is something to be gained by doing it, which isn't often. Sometimes showing a bluff can put someone who has been on a bad streak on tilt, but by no means should you show when they made a good lay down against you. That just verifies their instincts and makes them more confident.

some argue that you should never do it. I am not one of them. I show if I feel I have played or hit to many hands just so I dont get called when I am weak. Sometimes I show as a matter of respect if a solid player pondered for a long time and folded just to say, no i didnt't steal it.

If you ask 10 poker players which is right or wrong, you will get 30 answers, and there all right somtimes and equally wrong at others.

make 'em pay to see the cards
hotpokermamma Jan 26, 2008 3:37 am
i agree with sirens, those are the times and reasons that I show too.
Sandman-Michael Jan 26, 2008 3:41 am
only when you're making a point, showing once in a while can help you in the long run but only once in a while, all the time will cost you ...
sergeant Jan 26, 2008 3:42 am
pay to see always..... exception if you have the monster nuts----- that will mess with your oponents in future hands I find
