500FPPs and I still don't understand what's going on

Jan 25, 2008 10:09 pm Report Abuse

I haven't slept in 36 hours because the cold here has caused all sorts of mayhem (witness my last blog's attempt at humor) Now I get this email from Pstars. I have no idea what I'm playing for, nor when. Can anyone tell me what's going on wit the heads-up championship? Please use small words.

Dear edly68,

Congratulations on advancing to our weekly Round 2 tournament in the National Heads Up Poker Championship free promotion.

Due to circumstances outside our control we are no longer able to offer runners up prizes during this free promotion. We apologize for this situation and would like to offer you 500 PokerStars Frequent Player Points (FPP) as compensation.

Frequent Player Points may be used to buy PokerStars merchandise or to enter special freerolls on the site. If you have any questions about how to use your FPPs, please email us at support@pokerstars.net. The points have already been credited to your PokerStars account.

You will still have the chance to play in any of our Round 2 events and advance to our Round 3 final where one lucky player will win a seat to play on TV in the National Heads Up Poker Championship.

Best regards,
PokerStars Marketing Team

SHERRY524 Jan 25, 2008 10:33 pm
Hey I saw where you could request emails now in a different language. Maybe see if it makes more since in another language, LOL

they were originally going to have a decent consolation prize pool for the second round, in addition to the ticket for round three. I guess they decided they couldn't afford to offer cash, so they gave everyone the fpps.
