I got rivered.

Jan 6, 2008 4:25 am Report Abuse

Wooow.

Someone raised 2BB. I was on the button w/ QTs. I called. Flop was KTT. Pot was 800. Opponent bet the pot. I called. Turn was nothing. He went all in. I called. He had K9o. He rivered a K. Unbelievable. Yet again bad play gets rewarded. That's all folks.

You've NEVER made a very questionable call and sucked out? Multiple times in the same tourney even?
eisforelizabeth Jan 6, 2008 4:38 am

Questionable call? Sure, but that wasn't it. He raised at a table with a previous caller with K9o. Nice hand, wow. Then he BET THE POT as first to act with possible trips showing. Then when I smooth called, he didn't reevaluate that gee maybe he didn't have the best hand. Instead he WENT ALL IN, like he was going to scare me away from trips. Then he sucked out and I went buh-byes. His was bad play all around, not just luck. Don't understand the point of your comment. Like I'm not allowed to get miffed at getting knocked out over such a hand. Actually, I was joking around with lilss about how I need water wings to survive the river. I was perfectly fine until you started your mouth in my blog.

Vodka_RedBull Jan 6, 2008 4:43 am
LOL. You post a public blog and then get mad when someone makes a legitimate comment on it. He pushed and got lucky. Just like others call allins with QUESTIONABLE cards such as KQ off suit and get lucky. Instead of getting mad at me, check your hand histories and take a look in the mirror.

but why would u ever tell people they play bad? let them think they made the correst play ull get them next time. I have yet to see someone fold top 2 pair in a freeroll neway.

You're comparing K9s at a 9-handed table early in a tournament as equivalent to aggressively playing KQ late in a tourney? I am also only guessing that you're referring to the hand where I knocked out Seb30, in which case it was a perfectly appropriate call to make and I didn't suck out. And if I did suck out a boat to someone's trips with KQ I wouldn't a.) be ashamed or b.) begrudge my opponent for being unthrilled about it. Why you causing drama? What's your deal?

You're allowed to get as miffed as you want, we're just tired of hearing it. If I check out a blog, I want something new and informative, not the same old drivel . . .

That said, you did get robbed.

I HOPE THIS BLOG DOSENT TURN UGLY......GETEM HIGHHANDTB
Vodka_RedBull Jan 6, 2008 4:52 am

Once again...LOL... That is one of the several suckouts you are so expert at pulling off, but not the one I'm talking about. Obviously you just don't get it, or you just want someone to hold your hand and say everything is okay. In that case, I am done with this conversation....Good day.

eisforelizabeth Jan 6, 2008 5:00 am
Grow up, man. So what I glean from this conversation is that I should feel guilty for having ever sucked out on anyone OR I don't have any place to go "Wow that sucked" and then joke about it afterwards because by the luck of poker I have omg sucked out on someone in the past. The shock. The horror. I am the first to admit I have a lot to learn, but you're obviously the pro, OK OK. Shove it.

must have been on full tilt. i get rivered there quite a bit. lost after hitting an ace on the flop and a 10 on the turn to make 2 pair. was calling a weak all in bet from short stack and they hit trip 5's on the river. happens all the time
HIGHHANDTB Jan 6, 2008 5:17 am
I have not locked this blog yet please try to keep it nice as possible
Dukeofchaos87 Jan 7, 2008 10:41 pm
hmmm the title should be I made a bad call pre flop got lucky and then got unlucky. Saying that u GOT rivered like some of ur other blogs externalizes ur own bad play.
