Best Poker Books

Jan 3, 2008 10:36 pm Report Abuse

Feel like sharpening my game. Hoping some of you fine birds out there can point me to the best books to read and why you've found them useful.

I am mainly into No Limit Tournament play.

Many thanks in advance

The 3 volumes by Dan Harrington entitled " Harrington On Hold 'Em" is , in my opinion, is the best work on tournament poker ever written !

..........play on ......Tc...............

If you want to make your live game better - you should read Navarro's book 'Read'em and Reap' - with Hellmuth... It gives you GREAT insite as to the tells of a person from a former FBI investigators view on body language....

Thanks guys, so I've put in a bid on the super system books by Doyle. Also trying to get a copy of the Harrington on Holdem vol 1. I'm excited about bettering my play, just hope the extra effort yields better results.

I liked " Full Tilt Poker Strategy Guide: Tournament Edition" the best so far. Good book for online play, and casino games.

An afterthought. I check books out at the library or borrow them from friends to see if I like them before I buy one now days. Go see if they have them to check out for a while. My library has a lot of poker books.
