Been sitting here reading all the New Year blogs and as you read this one, another new member is most likely lookin' around for the first time. This place is gonna gettin' bigger by the minute now, and that calls for some game adjustment, for myself anyway...
Would like to here if any of you fellow birds have any "strategy" resolutions you might try for the new year. Our new 'all ranking' tourney lineup might be incentive...for example..
I slow play pocket aces way too much, looking to trap, but end up trapped myself...Thats gotta change..
I also play when I really don't feel like it sometimes, and it shows...every time. Gotta change that too.
Good luck to you all in 2008...

I resolve to play live poker for the first 6 months, at least, and not play online at all in this time. I have never truely enjoyed, nor been as profitable playing online because the reading of oponents is taken away in this format, save for betting patterns, and starting hand selection revealed at showdown.
One of the strenghts of my game is my ability to read a table and without it my success is not as high as in live games. I play poker not just for fun, but for profit and I can maximize my profit by just playing in live ring games, and occasionally live tournaments.
Playing with other Railbirds in freerolls, and real money ranking tournaments has been fun, and it has been the wonderful people who made it that way. I have had plenty of time on my hands to devote to it, but for the next 6 months at least, I am going to devote all my time and energy into living my dream!
