Stop complaining.....

Jan 1, 2008 4:36 am Report Abuse

I have seen a few blogs since the release of the new schedule for Jaunary 2008. Some responses are like where are the freerolls? Well, I just counted.... there are 31 freerolls at $200 each.... $6200 in freerolls.... And that will be $70k+ for the year. Why you complaining? There could easily be $0 in freerolls and not have a railbirds. Be happy with what you got. Personally, I love the new schedule. I love that they're all ranking. I love that there is tons of buy-in tournaments with higher guarenteed prizes. I love railbirds. If you're not happy with what they have, then don't play here. End of story. I don't really care if you argee or disagree with me. What they are doing here is great! I bult my bankroll because of railbirds and love the site! Thanks! Happy New Year!

i luv the new schedule.....
AislingGrey Jan 1, 2008 4:42 am

Just as I'm entitled to my bei a little upset over the fact that a lot of the games which I may be able to play in due to my schedule I can no longer play in at all because I don't have a disposable income.

I am greatful that we have the freerolls.. I'm glad that they have made more games into tourneys.

I am not worried about how many are ranking because I know I'll never even get to play in enough of them to make a difference anyway.

A lot of people got a bankroll started because of Railbirds.. how? The Freerolls...lol...

Nice Tim. I like the new schedule to. It really offers more for more people. It has freerolls for people to start br's, It has low $1.00 for those with smaller accounts that are just starting out in real money tournaments. It has $3.00 and $5.00 for the average real money players, and it offers $10.00 buy ins for those that are ready to make the next move up.

Thank you staff for this opportunity to improve on our playing and opportunity to stay at railbirds and advance to that next level of play.

people complaining??? really??? on here????? i find that hard to believe
CyberSleuth Jan 1, 2008 4:48 am
Agreed. Very nice schedule!
A55A55IN Jan 1, 2008 4:59 am
my argument isn't so much about the lack of freerolls on the new schedule as it is the repition of the same games/cost on the same dates/times

four $10 games....all on FT....all at 1600 on Sunday (the site i have limited bankroll on....and seem not to win as much on)
five $5 games....on FT....all at 1400 on Thursdays when I'm at work
four $5 games....on PS....all at 2100 on Mondays
nine $3 games ...all on PS ....all at 1400 on Tuesdays (at work) and Saturdays
nine $1 games...both FT &PS.....all at 2100 on Wednesday & Fridays

A little bit of variation in the dates/times/costs of these would be nice
Baseball_Tim Jan 1, 2008 5:02 am
a change in times would be fine by me..... im pointing out the people who are complianing about one less freeroll even tho there is still $70k+ in freerolls for the year,,,,,
davey52e Jan 1, 2008 5:05 am
This may turn out to be a lot better play. People don't play as bad when it is going to cost them. Thumbs Up for the new schedule.
watchdog26 Jan 1, 2008 5:11 am

I completely agree with you BBtim, Yeah amazing huh? We agree lol

Poket10s Jan 1, 2008 5:14 am

I agree with you man. I have never seen another site that has such great freerolls for its members as this one. It's pretty amazing and I am very grateful to be a part of this community. But, it's impossible to keep everyone happy. There's always going to be those who complain or will find something to complain about. You just have to ignore them if you don't agree.

Happy New Year!

LONG LIVE RAILBIRDS!

Let the selfishness and the "elite' comments begin. This is less than a day and the us versus them thing is in full vigor. Mrs Magoo, this brat baseball Tim and other exaulting the virtues of more buy ins. Last time I looked every poker site has buyins at all levels that the RB tournies cover and multiple times a day. The new schedule adds virtually nothing for the cash player that they can't get anywhere on the net.

But for folks who play freerolls to build bankrolls the cut in half is going to be a tough hit. And while you selfish folks wouldn't think of this. What about all the folks in Europe that are only going to be likely able to play 1 every second day because of the time issue. For North Americans like me the times are great. But for others this won't be a positive.

Personally I play for fun and don't play nearly as many freerolls as I use to. But I will not deposit to a site. The reasons i won't get into here. My comments are with regaurds to others and not myself. I personally never have to play in another RB tourney again. If it was for money that I played there are so many forums offering freerolls with smaller fields and larger payouts it's no problem to find money making opportunities anywhere. But the time many of us have put into the site is being blown off by Tim's arrogant approach saying get out if you don't like it. I guess when you are still pink 7 months after you join you can't appreciate the commitment and effort of core loyal birds to the site. You mentioned on another blog about cash players being biggest contributors. ROFL Bird colour measures contribution to the site. Nice effort! 7 plus months and not there yet. Don't include yourself in that group. Your not there by a long shot sonny! To be fair there are many cash folks who contribute alot. But there are many non cash players that contribute alot also.

But to say I'm disappointed by the selfishness and in ability of some people to put themselves in another persons shoes; that's called empathy by the way; sickens me.Tim your just one of several and I'm only writing here because you put this selfish, selfserving blog up. At 20 I guess I shouldn't expect you to be a man yet. Try to grow up soon.

As to the others whose comments I've read on various blogs this evening. Time to edit my friends list. I've never removed anyone since I've been a member. Time to set some higher standards for whom I give friendship to.

As to HHTB supporting this blog. Extremely dissappointed in you for the first time ever here at birds. You have an individual who tells fellow birds to leave if they don't like it and you condon that sentiment. Folks who in many cases have helped grow the site dramatically and are both loyal and hard working for railbirds. I think you should reread what this child wrote and think seriously about what he is saying.

Thank you for attack on me Stan, thanks I appreciate it. I'm 19 btw (Railbirds glitch). You cna ask a lot of people on this site about me, please do. I contrbiute a lot to this site. Just because I'm pink doesn't mean shit. In the last 7 months, you want to know how much I have been on this site. Probably about 12+ hours at least 5 days a week. Thank you for you knowledgable attack on me. I'm selfish? Your getting all this money and your attacking me? Was there a railbirds 2 years ago? No! Will ther ebe one in 2 years? Maybe, who knows. ! Yep, I'm not pink, but please read some of my stragety blogs, or some of the advice I've given to people. Please refrain from attacks sir. You really showed your maturity in that post!
MrsMagoo Jan 1, 2008 5:52 am
wow thanx stan, here i was saying that the comment came from a friend and someone i respected, guess it doesn't go both ways, not once ever have i said or even acted like i was better than anyone on this site, because i do not believe i am, and NEVER would i have a go at a friend because of a game, i am sorry that one of ur freerolls got taken away, now u only have one a day, try living in australia where if u get up in the middle of the night u might get to play one.............how dare u have a go at me...........happy new year to u
Stan7777 Jan 1, 2008 5:55 am

Your very welcome. It was well earned and well deserved.

Quote;.. "Just because I'm pink doesn't mean shit." Ah yes it does actually. It measures your contribution to the site. Most core birds take a month or less to reach expert. The colours aren't very relevant for most things. But contribution to birds it definately does.

Quote;... "but please read some of my stragety blogs". I had before i wrote the original comment. I visit you page from time to time. I see various comments you leave on blogs. I'm hardcore railbird through and through. You had a nice little rush a few months back where you did 4-6 blogs with some substance. But that's hardly the be all and end all. Many folks do much much more.

If you don't like the tone of my comment don't leave comments with a simillar tone attacking folks on other blogs. Be a hypocrite on your own time sonny. Quote;.. "If you're not happy with what they have, then don't play here. End of story. " Nope if you leave selfish ignorant comments like this in your blogs expect the consequenmces and stop crying like a little baby when your called on it sonny!

stan they aren't ideal times for all of us in the USA. Some of us have jobs in which we work 12 hours a day, an Ideal time for me would be 7 a.m. when I just get home from work and right before going to bed.
TheMatrix Jan 1, 2008 5:58 am

Stan,

If you dont like the site you can leave no one is stopping you. I acctually would rather play real money ranked toureys then compete in a 2000 person freeroll donkment field. I completely agree with tim i love the new schedule as MOST railbirds do. i have built my bankroll from small deposits and freerolls. Alot of the top 100 players in the polls are graduating to the small/midsized stakes tournaments.

As for attacking Tim. That was totally uncalled for! Tim is one of the nicest, most respectfull and one of the best all around players on this site attacking him will get u absuletly no where. If there wasnt a demand for less freerolls and more real money they wouldnt have made the change.

They incorporated my idea of a once a week 10$ on saturdays so attack me. Im not gonna let u attack one of my friends for no reason.

Ps. railbirds doesnt owe u anything idk why u think they do
