Earlier i was playing razz and i am still pretty new to it, anyways and i had A 3 7 8 9 and was beat by A 4 6 8 9 why is that im confused, doesnt my 3 cover his 4 can someone please clear this up for me.

you need to reverse the order you read the cards....write them from highest to lowest
you had 98731
he had 98641

his is lower so he won

what A55A55IN said. In lo games (Razz., Omaha Lo, etc.) you list your cards from high to low. 986 beats 987.

I love razz and the best way for begginers to sort out who won is to start from the top down ,since you both had 9 and 8 you go to the next lowest card you don't share in the hand, if you both had a 7 then your 3 would have made it the best ,gl !
