I didn't really feel the need to put this out here untill now mainly due to I am trying to learn how the heck to ' edit ' blogs that already been put up. 
For some RB's here they knew about this because I had it on ' my page ' but now that it is partly over with atleast local wise goes I feel it might worth while putting out here.
But there is also a message in this for others to see it can & might be them next time if given a chance to really want to try and improve playing poker even if they only ever played for fake money. This is what I had on ' my page along with the latest update at this point but last on the local status.
Since Oct. 8th been in a weekly freeroll trny that goes on once a week( Monday nite ) for 12 weeks which ends about the end of Dec. The top main players from each place then goes on to play in the regionals, from there is one more step which is in Fargo, ND. after that it is Cali for a WPT trny!
For me it hasn't really mattered what place i get, by that i mean until this started up i had yet to play for cash online or LIVE. I am gaining much more then anything by means of info & knowledge on how I can improve as a player.
Just because these are ' freerolls ' these players in these are by no means n00bs, some play at casinos all the time & most of them play a table at this place with a huge buy-in. They are very good players and know what they are doing and most of them have played together for years.
On 11-12-07 which was week #6 I finally placed out of 14 I took 1st. then on the following week 11-19-07 #7 I once again took 1st out of 13. I was the first to get two 1st places since it started & was the first to do it back-to-back weeks.
It is based on a point system over all, in week #6 I was in 8th out of 24 players(over all) but with my win in #7 I am now 4th out of 25. I am not too far behind in points behind the main ones in this, I think I am about 40-50 points behind the leader at our place. Which would mean I need another 1st place win an for that leader to not place to take the lead over-all.
EDIT/UPDATE: 11-26-07 - Well tonight I wasn't able to go three 1st places in a row. Not sure how many entered off hand at the moment. But I went out in 7th holding AQos going AI PF being short stacked was called by only one holding A8os. He caught an 8 on flop an held, so now I dropped one place to 5th but still in the running being about 90(-/+) points behind the new over-all leader. I just need one more 1st place to pose a threat to 1st place guy with-in 4 more trny's/weeks then onto the regionals that take place there. 
EDIT/UPDATE: 12-3-07 - Well in tonights game I went back to how I was playing before, not this making calls on small bets when I was the chip leader at the table when I knew/ felt I was beat. I was short stacked many times & pushed all-in a few as well. I gotten PP Q's & PP A's twice each during the night, every time held out to win. Last one when I gotten PP A's it was only two other players they folded out to me, I then hit a bad run of cards when it was down to me an one other player we were moreless almost even in chips. Which weakened my stack alot cause of the blinds. It took a bit of time and battle but I re-gained enough chips to have a chance. The last player was the same one to knock me out last week, a chance for some revenge. 
On the last hand I hit a fair shot at a club flush on the flop. He pushed all-in after the flop I decided to go for it, I call. I hit my flush on the turn which held to give me my 3rd 1st place during the course of it. I am now currently sitting in 2nd place over-all!!! I am only 11 points behind the leader, the last one before the regionals is on 12-20-07.
EDIT/UPDATE: 12-10-07 - Just got back a bit ago from tonights game, I didn't do as good as last week. I still placed in the points being 4th. I dropped from 2nd to now 3rd over-all, 2nd place is 4 points ahead & 1st is 26 points ahead. I am still with-in shot of making it to the next stage, I just need to keep gaining points. If I can gain another 1st place with-in one of the last two games I do think I'll make the regionals.
I still had alot of ups & downs from the start of it, I was a bit more frustrated just due to the cards I was getting. The last one I was in on I was BB the blinds were 800/1600 I just had enough to cover the BB so I was AI, UTG calls the other two fold. I asked him if he had anything, he says nothing I tell him I haven't even looked at my cards yet. We both flip our cards he has A6os mine is A5os, we both hit an A on the flop nothing on the turn or river, he wins due to his kicker.
EDIT/ UPDATE: 12-11-07 - I just found out tonite at work that the last trny will not be held on Thurs. 12-20-07 but the day before that being Wed 12-19-07. Due to a couple of the players are not available for that day, the reason being the day was mainly changed was they are two of the top players to give them best chance to move onto the regionals. I also found out that the regionals will be held in early Jan of 08' and will be a one day ordeal before the next step which is Fargo, ND.
EDIT/ UPDATE: 12-17-07 - Well I wish I could give out so good news but not too much good other then I'm still got a slight edge to make regionals in Jan. 08'. The winner over-all is more less decided, he has a huge lead as far as points goes. So right now it is more less a battle between 2nd through 4th place, only the top three make it to regionals.
So in the last one I REALLY either need to place in the points or hope I hold out to make the regionals, the cards lately for me on-line & LIVE have been brutal towards me in more ways then one.
EDIT/ UPDATE: Final game - 12-19-07 From the time it started I was gettin massive cold decked & throwing alot of hands away an so did my stack of chips due to blinds. I was many times very short stacked and AI PF many times or on the flop. Everytime I gotten a fair to nice starting hand I was almost like a pitbull I was either being a bully by my bet size still being short stacked or I had the hand with a good chance winning. This nite compared to all the other nites was my toughest nite playing, I was throwing away a hell alot of cards & had to battle my way back up to have any kind of chance to hold in there.
I was AI more times then I could count off hand & either the players folded out to my bet or I won the hand. When it got down to three of us left I knew I had a shot but I had to keep fighting to last as long as I could.
I wasn't able to take 1st over all. BUT I did go out at the table in 3rd place putting me winning more points & bumping me into 2nd place after all. The guy that was 4th in points ended up being the 3rd place guy over all. The guy in 2nd place in points gained no points, he was bumped out & ended up taking 4th over all.

1st - 597
2nd( me ) - 545
3rd - 528
So all-in-all meaning GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They take place at same place on Jan. 6, 08' at 1pm cst untill who knows when it ends.

I messed up somehow last nite putting this out here and until know I thought it was still messed up. But there is more to come on this issue and it doesn't have anything to do with regionals.
Congratulations on this accomplishment ! I wish you the best of luck in the regionals, and want to read all about your victory as soon as possiable. Hope you go all the way to the WPT and make some of that life changing money there !

Thank you TC, as soon as regionals are done I'll do like I have been and edit/ update my status.
I just hope I can do well enough in it to make the next stage which is a two day event. But if I am unable to reach it I'll admit I'll be bummed out a bit but still happy with what I have done to this point being my first LIVE event.
But I have noticed since I been in this LIVE event I sorta been playing alot differently when I do play on-line now then I have been before. But I also do feel the need to confess something as well that I am more then guilty of.
I AM guilty & hooked in playing LIVE poker!!!
